ALT When I think about strength, I think about being true to yourself. I think you are your strongest when you’re being authentically you.

ALT I am lucky that whatever fear I have inside me, my desire to win is always stronger

ALT If you push through the struggles and hard times, it’ll be so worth it in the end, because you will be able to get to your dreams

ALT Play it forward, foreword by Alex Morgan: For too long female athletes have been kept in the margins. Women’s sports have been undervalued and under invested. I’ve experienced this firsthand. My teammates have experienced this firsthand. The barrier breakers you’ll read about in this book have experienced this firsthand. But in my opinion, changing this all starts with a story. The more visible, we are the more stories we tell the more games we brought the more coverage we create the more diversity. We have the more equity we can drive. The more investment we can generate, the more growth we can rightfully have.

ALT That’s why I, alongside Olympians and champions Sue Bird, Chloe Kim and Simone Manuel created TOGETHXR. We didn’t want to wait any longer for others to decide our stories were worth telling we could tell them ourselves. We believe that female athletes are incredible multi it move culture forward. Sports after all are not just a microcosm of culture. Sports are culture. And women’s sports sit at every intersection.
