The idea that prediction markets solved a risk transfer issue for institutions was my fav bullshit thing for this cycle just admit you’re doing the uber playbook for sports betting already

I lost everything ($1700) yesterday which I had borrowed from my friend. It's probably not much for most of the people but it was everything. I'm now in a debt of $ which idk how am I gonna recover because I don't have funds to make it all back. I hate myself now.

I got drained a few months ago. I currently have just $10 in my portfolio and my rent is due in two months. If I really lock in, can I make $2,000 from memes in two months?
so its over, had a great time building out @metromxyz. started from a conversation with @0xVenky, getting users, finding niches to build on - it was satisfying to work on this problem statement.
thankyou to all the teams, LPs who trusted us.
We have decided to shut down Metrom.
We noticed that DeFi incentives were largely being run through traditional liquidity mining, a spray-and-pray model where rewards were distributed without much control over what they were actually driving. This often meant inefficient spend, mercenary capital, and incentives without a clear goal.
We wanted to make incentive distribution more efficient by tying rewards to KPIs like TVL, volume, and time-based goals, giving teams more control over their budgets and the outcomes they were targeting.
Over the past 2 years, we put a lot of effort into making this work in practice. We helped teams reduce wasted incentive spend, structure rewards around specific goals, and use incentives to reach and maintain meaningful TVL targets.
It’s a hard but meaningful problem, and we’ve been actively pushing it across DeFi. Metrom went live across 12+ networks and facilitated distritbution of over $1.5M in incentives
We learned a lot along the way about incentives, liquidity, protocols, and building in crypto. A big thank you to everyone who trusted us, worked with us, gave us feedback, or simply followed along.
Metrom is shutting down, but the people behind it aren’t going anywhere.
On to the next chapter.
