Offline Protocol SDK v0.32.0 is out.
Service subscriptions: a device subscribes to a service on another device and gets every update over the mesh, with no server and no internet. Updates are sealed end to end, or not sent at all. Available in the browser engine, React Native, Flutter and Python, and every binding is regenerated.
Bluetooth LE links now stay up with the app in the background or the screen off, and an Android link recovers by itself when the app on the other phone restarts.
New C# bindings over the C API: typed config, storage, events and transport callbacks.
npm, PyPI and every binding: github.com/Offline-Protocol/…
Just shipped v0.32.0 of @OfflineProtocol mesh SDK!
- Service subscriptions: lease a topic on a peer's service and get every update as it's published, end-to-end encrypted over MLS
- Missed updates come back on the next renewal, no server in between
- New binding: C#
- BLE that holds up in a pocket: a backgrounded iPhone keeps its links, a screen-off Android keeps finding peers
And more bug fixes and optimizations!

Offline Protocol joins Zebra Technologies' PartnerConnect program.
Zebra's rugged handhelds, scanners and wearables run the world's warehouses, delivery routes, yards and store floors. Those are exactly the places where Wi-Fi ends at the dock door and cellular drops behind concrete and steel.
Offline Protocol gives them a network of their own. Devices sync records, message and hand off work directly over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct, relay across an entire site, and reconcile with your systems the moment any device gets a link. Scans, pick lists, check-ins and proof of delivery keep moving through outages, dead zones and network failures.
Through PartnerConnect we're bringing offline-first operations to Zebra's resellers, integrators and the frontline teams that run on Zebra every day.

On Zohran Mamdani:
Insane how people can see a political candidate that spent his entire time among the people - taxi drivers, artists, senior citizens, minimum wage workers, bodega owners, halal cart operators, social media creators, club goers, marathon runners, religious leaders, community organization members, live sports attendees, literally any and every part and demographic of the city, all while answering every question with poise and purpose, and yet say that he is a bad guy who doesn’t care about the city.
My whole life I’ve been so disillusioned and disappointed by politics and politicians globally and witnessing this campaign has been a ray of hope and sunshine and a showcase of how campaigning should be and what’s possible if a politician really cares about the causes he’s fighting for and the people who he wants to lead. This campaign will inspire a new generation of politicians that will pave change and boost representation of ideas and values among the traditionally archaic political guard.

It's been a hard few weeks for security, with breaches and leaked credentials affecting a lot of people. It's a reminder of why we keep building systems that don't depend on a single point that can fail.
Our weekly newsletter by @chai_really rounds up the news, and what our team shipped this month:
→ Bluetooth payments for the Zcash community by @sxtvik, which complete even with both phones in airplane mode
→ Radius by @mizanxali: walk into a room and your phone shows who nearby is worth meeting
→ A smart hub by @bahdotsh that runs your home's devices with no internet
Plus, we'll be at Devcon in Mumbai, and we look forward to seeing you there!

We’ve joined NVIDIA Inception, @nvidia's program for startups building with AI 🤖
At Offline Protocol, we have spent the past year experimenting and making multiple breakthroughs in on-device intelligence and federated training across heterogenous devices.
We are now combining this work with our existing stack which lets phones, machines, and edge devices find each other and work together directly, with no internet or cloud in between. This unification provides a shared intelligence layer on top of our existing coordination layer to enable a brand new category of hardware and software applications.
Inception has already given us access to NVIDIA’s partners who are helping us with product validation, along with developer tools, technical training and a flourishing enterprise network as we grow.
Stay tuned for more news about our intelligence work.

Offline Protocol is now on @claudeai and Claude Code.
Describe the app you want to build. Claude picks the SDK packages, plans the architecture and previews the starter files.
Try:
• Group chat for a festival with no signal
• Share files between phones in airplane mode
• A field team checklist that syncs when crews meet
• Agents coordinating on one local network
• A smart home hub that keeps running when the internet drops

Offline payments on Offline Protocol.
What blockchain should we experiment with next?
Built something for the @Zcash community using the @OfflineProtocol SDK:
A shielded ZEC payment between two phones in airplane mode, over Bluetooth.
→ A café asks for 0.042 ZEC nearby
→ The customer's wallet verifies the café's key and opens an encrypted session before any amount is shared
→ They pay with Face ID, and the signed shielded transaction goes straight to the café's phone
→ The café's app accepts it and sends back a receipt
→ When the café's phone comes off airplane mode, the transaction goes to the network and gets mined
Nothing is final until it's mined. Until then, both phones keep the same record and a receipt, and the chain still settles it.
Shoutout to @megabyte0x for reaching out and inspiring me to share this feature from a larger offline payment network I was ideating on last year.

🚨 i built the ULTIMATE IRL networking tool
introducing Radius, built on @OfflineProtocol
walk into any room and see who's worth talking to. phones find each other over bluetooth, with no accounts and no sign-up.
📡 live radar: see everyone nearby, filtered by what you're looking for
🤖 AI match: it reads everyone's profile and project website, then ranks who's most worth meeting for you. tap anyone for a personalised icebreaker
✂️ AI summary: drop your project's website and it cuts the BS into a sentence or two on what you actually do
🐋 net worth: connect your ethereum/solana wallets and flex your net worth via @zerion, or just show your tier (🦐 to 🐋)
🏟️ the room at a glance: total net worth, a leaderboard, the category mix, and what people want and offer, so you know if it's worth staying
🧭 finder: a hot/cold screen with haptics that tracks the signal as you walk toward someone
🤝 proof of meet: both phones sign, and the stamp mints as an @eas_eth attestation on @base
📝 notes and export: keep private notes on anyone you meet, then export the list to follow up later
built for meetups, conferences, parties and hacker houses.
going to @EFDevcon Mumbai? reply and let me know. if there's enough demand, i'll open up access! 👀
I self-nominated our @OfflineProtocol mesh SDK for Rust Crate of the Week yesterday
We’ve been building this for almost a year now. The SDK has grown into something that’s surpassed all our expectations, and it’s now capable of opening up a lot of possibilities for developers who want to build resilient applications across a whole range of domains. And the core of it is Rust.
The SDK lets devices, apps and agents discover each other, communicate securely and coordinate work without needing the internet. Nodes find each other over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, Reticulum or Nostr relays, pick the best path in real time, and fall back to the internet only when it’s actually there. Everything is end-to-end encrypted with MLS, and the engine is sans-I/O, so it runs anywhere from phones to embedded Linux.
I hope this opens the door to the Rust community and gets more of you looking at the code, questioning the design, and building on top of it. We’ve leaned on this ecosystem for a year. Now we’d like to be part of it, not just a consumer of it.
If you write Rust and have an evening to spare, take a swing at it. Break it, review the API and tell us where the docs lost you.

Offline Protocol started with a simple question: how do people reach each other when the network around them can't be trusted?
Messaging was our first answer. Over time the stack underneath has grown into something much broader. Today it gives developers identity, encrypted messaging, edge sync, data telemetry, and nearby service calls across phones, laptops and the devices around them, over whichever local, mesh, gateway or cloud path is available.
This opens up far more possibilities than chat. A crowd that becomes its own network. A home that answers to your phone without a cloud listening in. A group sharing one AI model from the laptop that can run it.
@bahdotsh's film captures that world beautifully and is grounded in real solutions we shipped this year. If you have an idea, we'd love to see and support what you build on our stack!
I recently started experimenting with creative ways to demo our work at @OfflineProtocol, and to showcase the world we are building towards.
In our world, every connection is local-first, private by default, and doesn’t disappear when infrastructure fails. Our work has so many applications, from enabling phones to talk to your home without a cloud listening in, to helping a crowd, a village or any community become its own network.
We’re not trying to replace the internet. We’re making sure people can still reach each other when internet availability isn’t guaranteed.

Railway has disclosed a security incident, and out of caution, we're replacing every credential our services use.
Since Railway's deploys are currently paused, some Offline Protocol services and features may be slow or unavailable, and you may be asked to sign in again once the rotation is complete. We're monitoring closely and will bring everything back as soon as possible.
This is an important precaution to keep our users safe. Thanks for your patience.
An urgent notice from the Railway team
