It has been wonderful to listen to all the children playing for all of us on Twitter. It is amazing how confident they all are. Where ever you live, thanks to all the children. Have a Happy Christmas and keep playing. thesylviaswiffintrust.co.uk
Thank you to all our helpers and donors who helped us support projects this year. Happy Christmas to you all .thesylviaswiffintrust.co.uk/ and to @tameside_music We are their partner charitity AND to the children who made the music.
I am thinking about all the Nativity Plays I have seen since I started teaching in Salford in 1972. I hope that many of the children can remember them with a smile, enjoying the feeling that the music gave all involved, Do you remember?
We keep reading how important Music is in schools. How many parents actually inderstand why it is worth traching? If they knew what it can do, many would be amazed. We think it is one the few subjects that makes children smile. Any thoughts about this?
The Trust had a phone call from an 83 year old lady It was about The TMS Big Christmas Sing. She said it was a proper Carol Sing-a-long. Real children who sounded Happy. It cheered her up...the children made the magic happen. Happy Christmas

To all the children who sang and all the hardwork that the staff put into it, The Big Christmas Sing was just that. The children did their best and sounded happy. We sang with them and spotted who was singing from our sheets. A Happy Christmas and Thankyou.
Today is the day to join The Big Sing in Tameside. As the partner charity to Tameside Music we will be singing Get your Carols at bit.ly/2UTtVwM & join @tamesideradio at 103.6FM on 13 Dec at 3pm tinyurl.com/yyo2tw7p @tameside_music

There seems to be an increasing danger that Concert Halls, Opera and Music Venues are in danger. The Trust feels the Government need a serious well judged reminder to reconsider allowing them to open within sensible guidelines. Live Music Performance is vital.
At this time and surrounded by a Pandemic, we need music to lift our minds to a different state where for a moment all is well and pleasing. We need to support the children practicing and trying hard to improve. One day they will make the music for us. Thank you for your Support
Jess has developed a good idea, Tameside Music have deleveloped a good idea. I (John Swiffin)have been learning a sonata from memory. It was a good idea.. but still being developed.Four pages to go. When you love music you cannot stop. Support the Trust.

I am delighted to become a patron for the Sylvia Swiffin Trust. We are living in a time where it is crucial to expose young people to the arts and give them an opportunity to experience music. The Sylvia Swiffin Trust do a fantastic job in providing those opportunities!
