Since #ThomasJefferson is trending, here's a reminder that Jefferson enslaved over 600 human beings over the course of his life, and up until this year, UNC had a Thomas Jefferson faculty award.

Our funny scary history movie #TheNeutralGround is nominated for @CriticsChoice along with some real titans. We’re feeling very honored. See u Sunday. We’ll be wearing a blazer and jeans as is required by documentary law.

Like many, filmmaker @gocjhunt watched as a monument to Robert E. Lee was removed in Richmond, Va.
He told @pw_larsen the story has to center @RaceCapitol, @PrinBlandingVA and the hundreds of other activists.

At some point, when it's safe, I hope someone does a story about the Black workers physically removing Confederate monuments. I mean...the power

I’ma say this again.
A hurricane.
Went from New Orleans.
To New York.
OVER LAND.
And had enough juice to spawn tornadoes and shut down THE WHOLE SUBWAY.
But this is just normal and we don’t need to mitigate climate change in any way.

UNC Students showed up in force for today’s rally & march. The call & response leadership of this young man, Yakob, carried us through. His voice powered us on. He lead & we followed. Young advocates need our support... let’s be willing to follow. #InterGenerationalAdvocacy
One of these people looks really familiar. The Neutral Ground is screening tonight virtually. eventbrite.com/e/pbs-nc-scre…

Police & UNC harassed Emil mercilessly. Cops brutalized & arbitrarily arrested them many times; they were pushed out of UNC. If you're celebrating Sam's dirt nap, please donate to a Black activist who suffered for that victory. 2/
