@Luna_Apps's new space horror game looks like my kind of game. I put some music I made earlier to its trailer. I wouldn't usually recycle music, but I like the celestial atmosphere it creates, distracting you from the horror to come. All sounds: 1987 Keytek CTS-2000 synthesizer.

The programming experience isn't great because of the typical 80s membrane panel and lack of knobs. Also, the processor can't keep up with all the features. For example, although there are six sliders for editing, you can only use one at a time. But all in all, it sounds unique.

Ominous chanting from foreboding cliff-face figures is from the #WaldorfQ+. It uses a slight modulation in pitch and wavetable position. Beating drums are from the #Roland #JD08, a faithful modern reproduction of the #JD800. Crescendoing percussion is from the #Kurzweil Forte.

Classic sounds of the 90s digital mega #synth, the Roland JD-800. With many buttons, sliders & knobs, it was one of few 80s/90s digital keyboards that combined the hands-on control of old analog synths, with unique timbres, samples & FX that only digital tech could provide. 1/3

Over 20 years later, this mothership of a keyboard is now produced by Roland as a desktop synth, the JD-08. The price & weight of the JD-08 is only 13% & 6% of the JD-800 respectively! The sound is identical, & it has extra features like a sequencer, as well as USB MIDI & audio.

Despite the cheaper, smaller & updated reproduction, the original is still widely sought after by collectors & musicians due to its modern, unique & high-fidelity sound. Its panel invites easy sound design, unlike the notoriously ubiquitous and equally user-unfriendly Yamaha DX7.
