#OperationBringBack | Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Sihle Zikalala, together with the Executive Mayor of Mopani District Municipality, Cllr Dagma Mamanyoha; Acting Speaker of Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality, Cllr J. Sindane; and Chief Whip, Cllr Victor Rapatsa, engaged companies operating on State-owned land in Ba-Phalaborwa as part of Operation Bring Back.
In Ba-Phalaborwa, eight State-owned farms covering approximately 11,900 hectares are currently being used for commercial activities without formalised lease agreements — limiting the State’s ability to derive appropriate value from these public assets.
Affected entities have been given six months to regularise their occupation and formalise land-use arrangements in line with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
Operation Bring Back is about restoring proper control, accountability and value to State-owned property, ensuring that public assets are managed lawfully and in the public interest.
The intervention also supports Limpopo’s Operation Vhuyisa Thundu ya Muvhuso.
