Okay, enough about me 😭 now I wanna know who’s on my timeline.
Introduce yourself in the comments ↓
the founders we want aren’t waiting until everything is perfect.
they’re talking to users, shipping early and learning fast.
if that sounds like you, applications for the @16vchq Accelerator are open.
20–25 founders. $200K upfront.

19, living in Prague, learning to fly, and somehow spending my days talking to founders around the world.
life looks nothing like I imagined a year ago.
kinda love that for me:)
building a startup is hard enough. you shouldn’t have to figure out everything alone.
the first 50 founders are getting in now!
a lot of you asked to join after this post.
instead of reaching out one by one, we’re opening applications now.
starting with 50 founders, then adding 50 each month.
let’s see if this is useful.

On a date with a non founder and he’s asking what I do for living 😭
How do I explain that I spend my days asking strangers what they’re building?
15 days left to apply. This might be your sign to finally build what you’ve been thinking about!

I’m Tabata from @16vchq working closely with our investment team and spending my days learning from founders building ambitious companies.
We’re looking to invest $100K–$2M in early-stage startups.
If you’re building something, tell me what you’re working on in the comments.
great founders can come from anywhere.
your location shouldn’t limit how far your company can go.
@16vchq is open to founders globally 🌍
one question we keep getting about the 16vc accelerator:
“can founders from outside the us or uk apply?”
yes. absolutely.
we’re building across sf, nyc and london, but you don’t need to already live in one of those cities to apply.
a few honest answers to questions we keep getting:
“can anyone apply?”
yes. we’re open to founders globally.
“if i’m selected, do i have to move to sf, nyc or london?”
we’re still working through the logistics around this. we have a 3-month program and are planning a demo day in sf, but we don’t want to promise relocation, visas, housing or travel support before those details are finalized.
“what if i’m selected and i’m outside the us or uk?”
we’ll try to help where we can and work through the practical details with selected founders. exactly how that works will depend on the founder and the situation.
“do i need funding or revenue to apply?”
no.
“do i need a finished product?”
idea stage is okay.
but being at idea stage doesn’t automatically mean you’ll be selected.
if you’re very early, we want to understand what makes the idea interesting, why you’re the right founder to build it, and what you’ve already learned.
if the idea is very common and there are already many companies doing the same thing, you’ll need a strong reason why your approach is different.
we care about the quality of the opportunity, not just how early you are.
“are you planning anything outside these cities?”
we’re exploring one additional location in asia. we’ll make that decision after we see the application pool and understand where the strongest founder demand is.
the honest answer is: we’re building this as we go.
some details will become clearer as we see who joins.
keep building.
keep shipping.
The founders we want to meet aren’t always the ones with the best pitch deck.
Sometimes it’s the founder who:
has 20 users who love the product.
is building nights and weekends.
has no funding yet.
keeps shipping when nobody is watching.
That’s the kind of signal we pay attention to at 16VC.
flight school and startups have more in common than i expected.
you make a plan.
conditions change.
you adjust quickly.
and you keep moving without losing sight of where you’re going.
learning to navigate both at 19 🫰🏼
one application.
$200K to build.
three months surrounded by ambitious founders.
a completely different company on the other side.
what are you waiting for?
We’re launching the 16VC Accelerator, our first accelerator.
We previously launched an online fellowship, and one thing became clear:
founders learn faster when they’re in the room together.
So we’re taking it offline.
25 founders. 3 cities. $200K upfront.
SF · NYC · London
We’ll work alongside founders on product, customers, distribution, hiring, fundraising and everything in between.
This isn’t about building the biggest cohort. It’s about being genuinely useful to the founders we select.
Apply by Oct 4 tiny.cc/16vcapply
You could be one application away from turning the company you’ve been dreaming about into something real.
Your next step starts with @16vchq.
