I was absolutely determined to not celebrate anything on the 4th. However. My dad got THE CALL on Monday that a kidney was a match for him, so yesterday he had his transplant surgery. So while I can’t exactly celebrate my freedom, I’m overjoyed to celebrate my dad’s surgery.
