To my darling @CwrNew, the boy who was always born to shine. 🤍✨
I don't quite know how to begin this post.
For three days now, ever since the final curtain fell on your BORN TO BE concert, I have been sitting quietly with my emotions. I have deliberately allowed myself to feel every single one of them, in all their overwhelming beauty and depth, before attempting to translate even a fraction of what is in my heart into words.
And yet, here I am, days later, still feeling as though the entire vocabulary of every language I know would not be enough to do justice to what I witnessed and what I felt.
How does one put into words the feeling of watching a dream you have silently carried in your heart for six years finally become a magnificent reality?
Because if there is one thing these six years have taught me, it is that some journeys deserve to be remembered, some achievements deserve to be celebrated, and some people deserve to be told, again and again, just how extraordinarily proud we are of them.
And you, my precious boy, deserve all of that and so much more.
Let me take you back to where it all began.
I am one of your international "mums," one of those who have had the incredible privilege of following your journey from the very beginning.
I still remember the day I first saw you introduced by DMD. You were this shy, timid young boy, quietly stepping into a world whose enormity you perhaps couldn't yet fully comprehend. There was nothing particularly loud or demanding about your presence. You weren't trying to command anyone's attention. You were simply being yourself.
And yet, somehow, you caught mine immediately.
I remember turning to my friend and saying, 'Hmm, this one has something really special. I don't know what it is, but he does.'
There was something about you that I couldn't quite explain. A certain warmth. A softness. An unmistakable light that seemed to radiate from you. It wasn't the dazzling light of someone who already knew he was a star. It was something far more beautiful: the gentle, almost hesitant glow of someone who carried something extraordinary within him but had not yet discovered the full extent of it.
I decided that day that I wanted to watch your journey unfold. And oh, my darling, what a journey it has been.
I remember your first covers. I remember listening to your voice and recognising that what I had sensed in you that very first day was slowly beginning to reveal itself. I remember the early public events, when you would stand on stage and sing with that beautiful voice of yours, still so shy, still learning how to inhabit the attention that was gradually finding its way to you.
I remember the Cutie Pie days. I remember watching you balance university studies with the exhausting demands of filming, watching footage of you studying on set whenever you could find a spare moment, carrying responsibilities that would have overwhelmed many people, and still showing up, still trying, still giving whatever you had left of yourself to the point where you graduate with first honours.
I remember watching you learn, stumble, improve, challenge yourself, and then challenge yourself some more. And through every single stage of that journey, I kept seeing that same warm light. Only now, with each passing year, it was growing brighter.
What I did not know six years ago was just how far that light would travel.
My darling boy, I wish I could explain what it felt like to see you perform this weekend.
For a moment, it felt as though six years of memories had gathered together and were standing right there beside me. And standing at the centre of those memories was the NuNew of today. Confident. Radiant. Commanding. Extraordinary.
An artist in the fullest, most magnificent sense of the word.
You called your concert BORN TO BE, and I cannot imagine a title that could have captured the essence of what we witnessed more perfectly. Because on that stage, you did not simply tell us what you were born to be. You showed us.
You showed us an artist whose versatility knows no boundaries. An artist blessed with a voice of extraordinary range and depth capable of embracing seemingly any musical genre and making even the most demanding songs feel effortlessly within reach. An artist who moves seamlessly between tenderness and intensity, vulnerability and power, playful charm and breathtaking sophistication, between heart-melting sweetness and an irresistible, magnetic sensuality that can leave an entire arena breathless. An artist who can transform himself into anything. An artist who cannot be confined to a single genre, style, or definition, because the true beauty of your artistry lies in its limitless possibilities.
You sang, you danced, you performed, you transformed. You gave us so many different facets of your artistry, and yet every single one of them was unmistakably, authentically you. You were taking thousands of hearts into your hands and making us feel things that I suspect many of us will carry for the rest of our lives.
And what made it even more extraordinary was that, beneath the grandeur of the production, beneath the lights and the costumes and the thunderous applause, I could still see the very same boy I first noticed six years ago. The same warmth. The same sincerity. The same beautiful soul. Only this time, that once-shy light was illuminating an entire arena.
I think that is what moved me most of all.
You did not have to become someone else in order to become extraordinary. You simply grew into the fullness of who you had always been.
You were blessed and were born with talent, but your excellence is something you built with your own two hands.
I was watching you and was thinking nothing about this journey has been effortless. Behind every beautiful performance we have celebrated, there have been hours upon hours of rehearsals, discipline, repetition, exhaustion, and sacrifice. Behind every improvement we have admired, there has been a young man who refused to become complacent, who continued learning even when he was already doing well, who understood that possessing talent was never a reason to stop working.
I have watched you grow in ways that cannot be measured. I have watched your confidence deepen, your artistry mature, your resilience strengthen, and your understanding of yourself evolve.
And perhaps what I admire most is that the greater your accomplishments have become, the more determined you seem to be to earn them. You have never allowed the applause to replace the effort. You have never treated admiration as an excuse to stop improving. You have never behaved as though the love you receive means you no longer have anything to prove to yourself.
That, to me, is the mark of a truly exceptional artist.
You may have been born with the light, NuNew, but you worked relentlessly to learn how to make it shine. And that is why your story is so much bigger.
It is a lesson in perseverance. A testament to the quiet, extraordinary power of consistency. A reminder that even the most beautiful dreams require courage, patience, sacrifice, and the willingness to begin again every single day.
I know somewhere in this world, there is a young person who doubts their abilities, who wonders whether their efforts will ever amount to anything, who feels small in the face of an impossibly large dream. I hope they find your story.
I hope they see that shy young boy from six years ago and the artist who now commands IMPACT Arena. And I hope they understand that greatness does not always announce itself loudly at the beginning.
Sometimes, greatness begins quietly.
And sometimes, six years later, it stands beneath the lights of an arena and becomes living proof that the dream was worth every sacrifice.
In six years, there has not been a single day, not one, when I have regretted choosing to support you. Not a single day when I have been anything other than proud to say, 'I am NuNew's fan.'
My pride in you has never depended solely on how beautifully you sing, how many stages you conquer, or how many people applaud your name. It comes from the person you have consistently shown yourself to be.
From the humility with which you carry your success. From the gratitude you express. From the respect you show to the people around you and your audience. From your willingness to keep learning, to listen, to work, and to grow.
It comes from watching you remain gentle in a world that often mistakes gentleness for weakness, and from seeing you prove, again and again, that softness and strength can exist beautifully within the same person. You have never needed to be the loudest person in the room to leave the deepest impression. And you have never needed to lose the sweetness of who you are in order to become powerful.
What a rare and beautiful thing that is.
As one of your international mums, there is a particular kind of emotion that comes with watching your journey from afar. There are distances we cannot always cross, events we cannot always attend, moments we must experience through screens, translations, and the generosity of people who share them with us.
But the love has never been diminished by the miles.
You have a way of making people feel connected to you, not merely through your talent, but through the warmth of your humanity.
Six years ago, I chose to follow your journey because I saw something special in you. Today, I realise that somewhere along the way, following your journey became much more than simply being a fan of an artist.
It became the privilege of witnessing a beautiful human being discovered by many.
It is the happiness of seeing the person you have loved and believed in for so long finally being respected and love by more and more people. The happiness of watching the world begin to recognise what your heart has quietly known for years.
There are new faces. New voices cheering. New hearts being touched. People who are hearing your voice for the very first time and falling in love with the same magic that captured us years ago.
I feel an overwhelming sense of joy. Because love like this was never meant to be kept small.
Your light was never meant to belong only to a few.
It was always meant to travel.
That is one of my greatest wishes for you: that the world continues discovering you.
That the arenas grow bigger. That the opportunities become more extraordinary. That your music crosses more borders, your artistry reaches more hearts, and your name finds its place in spaces that once existed only in your dreams.
NuNew, BORN TO BE was so much more than a concert, It was a celebration of becoming. It was a beautiful meeting between the boy you once were, the extraordinary artist you are today, and the limitless possibilities of the person you have yet to become.
It was a reminder that dreams do not always arrive suddenly or spectacularly. Sometimes, they grow slowly, quietly, almost invisibly, nurtured by a thousand ordinary days of extraordinary commitment. Until one day, the world calls it a triumph.
So, my darling NuNew, thank you. Thank you for these six beautiful years. Thank you for allowing us to witness your growth.
Thank you for the music that has accompanied us through our own lives, for the emotions you have given voice to, for the happiness you have brought into our hearts.
Thank you for showing us that ambition and kindness can coexist, that humility does not diminish brilliance, and that true artistry is not simply about possessing an extraordinary gift but about honouring that gift with everything you have.
Thank you for being BORN TO BE YOU.
Thank you for giving us a concert that felt like a love letter to your dreams, your journey, your craft, and everyone who has believed in you along the way.
And thank you, above all, for being you.
YOU DID IT, LITTLE ONE!
Now rest, eat well, play your favourite games and watch your favourite cartoons.
One of your forever-proud international mums. 🤍
PS. I don't know if this message ever reaches you but I hope it transforms into a whisper of love and warmth that surrounds you every day.

#ZeeNuNew I did expect he will search for Zee in the audience at least once but as the concert progressed in Day 1 and then Day 2, i realised he needed to see Zee there the whole time as his emotional anchor BADLY. Those repeated attendance check means so much and did so much to him that even when Zee was not performing its so clear to the audience Zee is his person. Any GS allegations that could probably happened was swept clean bcs of how much we can see he needed Zee 🥹
I also realised something this time around. This concert is a huge milestone in our journey as a fandom too. To feel secure and see his career as a T- Pop artist separate from his personal life. Do not be afraid of hyping all his performances. The 3 min interaction stopped after the spotlight dimmed, while they continue on to their 6th years together. So lets support his dream. Support the life they invision together, walking their career path they chose for themselves as an individual and as a couple. They had matured so much and so do we 🥹
