Tim Hardaway Sr. responds to criticism regarding comments on Michael Beasley not taking accountability on not knowing how to file W-2s and sets the record straight with Kenyon Martin! Addressing recent remarks about Michael Beasley, Tim Hardaway Sr. defends the NBA's orientation programs while inviting Beasley’s childhood friend to handle things through a direct conversation rather than online drama. 🫡 "Why don't we use what Michael Beasley said and go talk to college guys and help them understand about W-2s, understand how to write a check, understand how to do what they need to do with their money?" "Just like the NBA came and does—and still talks to us, talks to you—sitting in that room for an hour after practice listening to what guys was doing with their money, what they didn't do with their money, what they did in drugs and this and that." "You did have help. Everybody did help you. They put you in a situation where you can succeed. So don't say that they didn't do that, or don't say they just threw a W-2 in your face and you didn't know what it was." "I got a relationship with Michael Beasley. When y'all say I can't walk up to him, I could walk up to him, give him a hug, and say, 'Yo man, don't be saying that.' So don't say that I can't walk up to nobody, because I can." Hardaway to Kenyon: "I found out you're a really good friend of Michael Beasley, one of his childhood friends. Talk to Kenyon, get my number, and let me and you have a conversation."
