My evil twin wanted to take this for a spin when the @yarratrams driver left his keys.

So @auth0 is so integrated w/ @okta, that if a company using Okta happens to add you as a federated user, you can no longer manage *any* Auth0 tenant w/out federating with them. Auth0 have no way of fixing it, other than suggesting you speak to said Okta customer.🤦

Hi @medibank, why do your online chat reps ask for a 2FA code to be quoted? 2FA codes should never be asked for by staff members - users can’t tell if they’re being phished if they can’t follow the ‘never tell another person this code’ rule.

Hey @woolworths... how familiar is your online chat team with how your system works? I'm getting told that after I edited an order, the entire first order will be refunded to me - even though that total makes up most of the order that I did pick up. 😆

I keep coming across services I'm used to using in ap-southeast-2 that aren't in ap-southeast-4. So I made this to avoid surprises: gist.github.com/tdmalone/5b1… Thanks to @GitHubCopilot for writing most of it for me.

Replying to @AusElectoralCom
@AusElectoralCom Hello! I’m looking up early voting centres on the AEC site and noticed they list divisions. Does that mean I can’t vote there if I’m not from that division? Or can I still do an absentee vote as long as I’m in the same state?

Answer is yes - absentee votes are still possible despite the listed divisions on the website.

Why are @ato_gov_au online services run by a teapot? I'd rather a coffee. developer.mozilla.org/en-US/… (also, I'd rather not wait in a *web queue* for over an hour! you'd think the ATO could have foreseen the need for extra resources this month...)

Hey @CommSec, how annoying is it when you're trying to follow best practices - like using a password manager - and certain websites think they know better and actively work against you? (Please ask your developers to remove the onpaste handlers in password/PIN inputs!)

It astounds me how out of touch some companies' security processes are. Changing details with @tabcomau by phone: bank account for withdrawals (oh easy, done!), postal address (oh we need to verify your ID for that). Someone can steal my money, but don't let them get my mail!

It took me two days to realise my Spotify had been stuck playing Muse. Alexa or Google misheard 'music'. 🙄
Tested positive for both COVID and Influenza A after getting home from #reInfect 😭

Why do I feel bad when I cause ChatGPT to apologise to me? Sorry for being so blunt with my criticism, human-like AI.

Looks like @united / @Melair are having trouble staffing baggage carousels. 1.5 hours after landing and bags are nowhere to be seen, with announcements every 15 mins saying ‘sorry, we have no staff’.

Measuring caching is not just about the performance improvement. Make sure the money you’re spending on caching is recouped by eg. less cost on your origin. #awsreinvent2022

Alright, I'm on #Mastadon: @[email protected]. But I have no plans to leave Twitter (unless of course it leaves me first).

And clearly I haven’t learnt how to spell #Mastodon yet.
PSA: *Don’t* turn up to the airport 3 hours early for an intl flight. Everyone else will too, the desks won’t be open yet, and anyone who turns up late will be ushered to the front of the line anyway. Something about first flight since COVID made me fall for that trick 😩
