A strong decision by the U.S. State Department – authorizing Ukraine’s purchase of Patriot interceptors to counter Russian ballistic missiles. Five hundred PAC-3 interceptors is a substantial number, and very soon – this winter – they COULD make for a highly effective defense package. However, it has been stipulated that deliveries may begin ONLY IN A FEW YEARS. We are asking our American partners to find a solution for the time when there is a real danger and a real need to use PAC-3 interceptors.
Right now, the Russians are attacking our energy infrastructure every single day. In just these past two weeks of October, there have already been more than 30 Russian strikes on critical parts of our power grid. It is right now, even before the beginning of winter, that Putin has started carrying out his operation to attack the systems that sustain life in our cities and communities. The targets are electricity, heating, water supplies, bridges, and life in our cities in general.
We did ask our American partners to provide Ukraine with a winter support package – at a rate of 100 Patriot interceptors per month. Five hundred missiles would be enough to protect our skies over the coming months – precisely when it is so important for Ukraine to be in a strong position in negotiations and for Russia NOT to succeed in breaking life in Ukrainian cities and communities.
The United States, our European partners, and other partners around the world have sufficient stocks of PAC-3 interceptors in their warehouses. Providing them to Ukraine right now – in the winter of 2026–2027 – and replenishing our partners’ arsenals LATER, in THE FOLLOWING YEARS, through this production already contracted and paid for by Ukraine and our partners would be the right approach. And it is entirely feasible.
We are grateful to President Trump. Importantly, we recently discussed PAC-3 interceptors with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Ukraine is grateful to the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Administration overall for granting this authorization. But we are asking for decisions that can guarantee the protection of lives not the day after tomorrow or sometime later, but at the very moment the threat is there – when Russia is killing and destroying. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine!

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge my own mistake in all of this.
Until a few hours ago, I genuinely believed the animated map in my video had been created from scratch by my editing team. I had no idea it came from The Kyiv Independent, or that their logo had been removed. I only discovered this when I looked into the copyright complaint.
I should have checked where the material came from before publishing it, and I take full responsibility for not doing so.
Working independently without the resources or oversight of a major newsroom comes with challenges, but that’s not an excuse. Ultimately, everything published on my channel is my responsibility, and I need to make sure the standards I expect from others are reflected in my own work.
I care deeply about the stories I tell, the people who trust me to tell them, and the journalists whose work helps inform them. The Kyiv Independent’s team deserved proper credit, and I’m genuinely sorry that didn’t happen.
I still believe their decision to issue a copyright strike and remove a video with 1.3 million views was disproportionate. I reached out privately by email to try to resolve the matter, and I wish we’d been able to deal with it through a conversation rather than having it escalate publicly.
But I don’t want that disagreement to distract from my own responsibility here.
My focus now is making sure this doesn’t happen again. I’ll be reviewing how my editing team sources and credits material, putting better checks in place before publication, and making sure we show other journalists the same respect we expect for our own reporting.
I’m proud of the work we’ve produced, but I know there’s always room to improve. I want my journalism to be as accurate, responsible and professional as possible, particularly when telling stories as important as those coming out of Ukraine.
I will learn from this and get back to telling the stories that matter.

His parents stayed behind to fight for their country.
He was no more than 6 years old and had to cross the border all by himself.
A plastic bag containing toys, a few clothes, and a chocolate bar.
His uncle was waiting for him on the other side.
I am writing this using my head, because if I were to write it from my heart, this post would be filled with insults and profanities directed at the three of you:
Musk, Trump, and Witkoff.
I hope for universal and divine justice for you because of this.

Some states like Florida identify the current number of votes cast by party registration. That doesn’t mean every Democratic voter must have voted Democratic or Republicans only for Republicans in the General Election. Closed primaries make us pick a team.@RealJakeBroe

Four centuries ago, a legendary traveler from Kolomyia made history. According to Ukrainian lore, Ivan Bohdan was the first from our lands to reach American shores. Now, we are bringing his epic saga to life in the track “Ivan Bohdan (The Legend of the First Ukrainian 🇺🇦 in America 🇺🇸),” blending a powerhouse punk-rock soundscape with five authentic folk instruments.

💔 RIP baby Angelina and every unnamed innocent Ukrainian murdered by Russia today.
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

This is Angelina. She was 1 year old.
She was murdered today when Russian strikes purposely targeted a children’s playground in Kharkiv. Ukraine.
Angelina’s mother was also killed along with an 11 year old girl and 3 other people.
The Russians are a cancer on this earth.

About President Donald Trump’s decision to waive sanctions on Russia. There will be a bipartisan effort in the House for a new sanctions package that Trump can’t waive.
“It’s shocking, but not surprising, that an American president would do so much to undermine the cause of democracy, freedom and dignity for the Ukrainian people,” Jeffries told The Associated Press
