Ranking of bass players I absolutely will not try to fight, not that that is a thing I do much of these days:
1. Chase Satterwhite

Really great interview with the mighty @team_corbin about some of the earlier AA days. Give it a listen if you like shenanigans or shenanigan adjacent stories. – at El Paso, TX

What a killer day!
On this day 11 years ago, downtown Kansas City was blessed with the insane concert bill of @USAquarium, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, and Turnpike Troubadours.
Glad I have proof I was there.

Because AA has been a major part of this scene for 15 years, plays all its major festivals and is about as ingrained as anyone that hails from between the Sabine and Rio Grande.

Had an absolute ball teaming back up my old running buddy @team_corbin for a few shows in TX and SC this weekend. With less than 24 hour notice, he brushed up on the old jams, learned a few of the new ones and absolutely CRUSHED both sets.🔥🔥🔥 – at Wendell, NC

This piece about Kyle Nix, his 38s and his new record is tremendous.

Including @kylenixmusic “Play Nice” - “a scorching, bluesy enticement, with a heavy bassline, distorted guitar, and coolly gritty vocals, that dissects a strained relationship.” Kyle Nix & the 38’s After the Flood Vol. 1 out July 28 via @MusicSoundly
