In honor of ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ปโ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐, we recognize a woman whose life has been defined by service.
She joined the U.S. Army at 17, and later spent 23 years working in law enforcement, supporting people in some of their most difficult moments.
Like many veterans, one unexpected life event left her carrying medical debt that followed her for years.
Through @teamamerivet '๐ ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ, ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐๐ผ, that burden was finally lifted.
When she learned her debt had been forgiven, she shared:
"I literally felt lighter. It restored my faith in humanity."
Her advice to others:
"Donโt give up. Stay on the path. Good things happen when you persevere."
Today we honor her strength, her service, and the countless women who continue to lead with courage and resilience every day.

Through our 50 Vets a Week program at the @nascarclash, another $250,000 in debt lifted off the shoulders of those who served.
This is why we race.

What it's all about, helping our veterans. Kylee, thank you for your service
Marine Corps veteran. Mother. Daughter. American.
And today โ a beneficiary of the ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ with @Verizon, @ForgiveCo_PBC and the @Lions , who have won seven games this season, unlocking $๐ณ๐ฌ๐ฌ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป.
Kylee served four years in the Marine Corps and has carried more than her share of lifeโs weight. She opened up about her journey โ from being adopted to watching both of her adoptive parents battle cancer โ and the resilience it took to navigate those hardships.
When she learned her debt had been forgiven, Kylee described the moment as:
This relief, she told us, allows her to better support her dad and put more toward her young son:
And in true Detroit fashion, she ended our conversation with:
Today, we honor Kyleeโs service, her resilience, and her story.
