$MSFT WINDS DOWN AI CLOUD DEAL WITH $ORCL
Microsoft has reportedly declined to renew its 2023 agreement to rent AI computing capacity from Oracle and has been gradually shutting down that capacity in recent months, Bloomberg reports.
The deal was originally intended to power an AI-enhanced version of Bing.
However, the Oracle servers used older-generation Nvidia GPUs that no longer met Microsoft's computing specifications.
Oracle says demand for its AI infrastructure remains strong, including for older-generation GPUs.

The Democratic sweep could be more BULLISH for crypto than it looks.
Democratic control of Congress brings tougher oversight, but it also brings lawmakers who support digital assets and blockchain innovation.
245 pro-crypto candidates have been elected so far, according to Stand With Crypto.
Thats 68.2% of midterm winners being pro-crypto.
As Ripple’s Brad Garlinghouse put it: “Pro-crypto members won on both sides of the aisle.”
“New Congress, with the same mission: clear rules, built in America.”
Crypto has also become a major political force. The industry has spent over $170 MILLION on the midterms, largely through Fairshake and its affiliates, making its priorities harder for either party to ignore.
That influence does not mean an easy legislative path.
'Anti-crypto' Elizabeth Warren and Maxine Waters are positioned to lead key committees, with stronger consumer protections, restrictions on illicit finance and scrutiny of Trump-family ventures such as World Liberty Financial likely to take priority.
The resulting investigations could make the industry-backed version of CLARITY impossible to advance.
But there is a constructive possibility after all as tougher negotiations could produce rules with broader political support and stronger safeguards.
For crypto, this is a major opportunity in building a framework that can survive changes in power.

🇨🇳 A barista in China finally LOST IT after a customer kept demanding her coffee faster.
And the internet seems to have considerably more sympathy for the employee than her employer does.
The customer was running late, had an appointment in FIVE MINUTES, and wasn't particularly interested in waiting.
The barista offered a refund. The customer threatened to complain.
“Go ahead and complain!”
And then she launched a cup of coffee grounds straight at her.
She was FIRED after the video went viral.
Workers at Manner Coffee have described shifts involving up to 500 CUPS in just 8 hours.
That's more than ONE COFFEE EVERY MINUTE, while also taking orders, cleaning and dealing with customers.
The company apologized and promised improvements.
Throwing coffee at customers obviously isn't the answer.
But expecting people to work like machines and smile through it all isn't particularly reasonable either.
