Watching George Russell slowly break down over the season is not a great feeling even if I don't really care about him. Though it does show how incredibly resilient Charles is. He weathered the 2022 season and came back stronger. As usual he got to work instead of giving up.

New brakes due to the system only suiting one driver, two DNFs that were mechanical and a couple of real low points with the spin in Miami and crash at Monza. One four race period is really the only downside on this season
Non così male per quella che molti definiscono la sua peggior stagione, ignorando completamente tutto il contesto. A Miami è stato introdotto il nuovo software, ma probabilmente è solo una coincidenza e il calo era solo mentale

You have no idea how happy I am that the real Charles is back. The confident Charles, the Charles who makes no mistakes when he feels confident in the car. The consistent Charles. And despite suffering two DNFs due to reliability issues, he is still fighting for P2 in the championship. Honestly, a lot of people talk about his performances, but Charles’s season is so underrated. People only look at the results, and they’re right to do so, but you also have to look at the way he’s been performing. Charles is having a very strong season. The way he has worked day after day, week after week, month after month, trying to adapt to these new regulations. He even had to change his brakes, and he’s still managing to perform at an incredibly high level. So many people doubted him when things weren’t going well, but he stayed focused in his own little bubble. While everyone was criticising him, he stayed silent and kept working to find solutions. Everyone thought he would never be able to bounce back with the CI discs, and some even said that if Rosberg couldn’t do it, why would Charles be able to? And yet, we all know how important Brembo discs are to Charles. Those discs and brakes are part of Charles’s DNA. And despite being forced to change his brakes, he still managed to win straight away. The number of hours he spends at Maranello in the simulator or working with the engineers is just insane. The difficulties he faced from Canada to Silverstone have transformed him as a driver. He has learned so much from that, even though he didn't deserve to go through it. His season, in terms of maturity, talent and leadership, has been simply incredible. As always. And it’s not over yet!!!

Yeah, looking at this a two stop was the right call. Just compare the distribution between one stoppers and two stoppers.

The guys who told me Ferrari pit wall was once again focusing more on keeping the cars apart than actual strategy were probably right in hindsight. I think I was giving them too much grace suggesting they were going for a one stop with Charles initially but pivoted when +

they realised the deg was too high and the hesitation led to the weird order they pitted the drivers. They showed me otherwise when they repeated that order on the next stop. We need to focus more on the other cars than on ourselves it's annoying. Sure they managed to rescue it +

well enough and made the right choice after seeing other cars doing well on the hards when previously the hards looked terrible in FP making sure we didn't need to switch to a used set towards the end. But the pit wall really needs to grow a spine regarding driver handling.

🆑: “i told my engineers for 2-3 races, i FINALLY feel that this car - that is very weird, and i don’t mean our ferrari but the current regulations’ cars - i feel like i unlocked something and i believe it was better. we put it in the right window today.” OH.

btw Leclerc’s overtake on lap 1 cannot go unnoticed. NO ONE ELSE would’ve tried this against Verstappen, especially on the first lap.

In honor of everything they put him through this season:
charles confirms to sky sport IT he likes the ferrari upgrades, said the pace was good in clean air (a bit less in between cars), said he feels more comfortable with the car and unlocked something to drive these new cars and implied he looks forward to 2027. 🙏

Another big late-race charge for @Charles_Leclerc! First, he sets the #DHL Fastest Lap, then snatches P2 from Max Verstappen. #F1 #DHLF1 #USGP #MomentsThatDeliver

Charles' hard stint was crazy
Kimi Antonelli had the best median race pace in Austin, 0.247s clear of Lando Norris. Verstappen and Leclerc next, the top four within 0.33s. Every lap from the race in Austin 👇

There you are, Charles! Every few races he'll reinvent himself and it gives us beautiful performances like that
