During her adolescence, Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski constructed a functioning aircraft from an assembly kit and piloted the vehicle independently by the age of sixteen. Today, the prominent theoretical physicist, frequently compared to Albert Einstein by academic peers, conducts research aimed at uncovering the fundamental mathematical structure governing the cosmos. She currently serves as a faculty member at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Ontario, Canada, where she manages the Celestial Holography Initiative.
Her primary research focuses on quantum gravity, a profound challenge in modern physics centered on reconciling Albert Einstein's general relativity, which explains macro-scale gravity, space, and time, with quantum mechanics, which dictates the behavior of subatomic particles. Within this domain, she has formulated a novel structural framework designed to describe the essential physics of our universe.
This model, known as celestial holography, maps bulk gravitational interactions onto a lower-dimensional boundary. The paradigm conceptualizes the universe similarly to a standard hologram, suggesting that four-dimensional spacetime phenomena can be mathematically encoded on a vast, distant spherical boundary encompassing the cosmos, mirroring the way a flat surface stores a three-dimensional visual image. Pasterski notes that the highly specialized nature of this advanced framework limits meaningful discussion of her research to a few thousand experts globally.
Her path to high-energy physics deviated significantly from traditional academic trajectories. After completing her experimental aircraft construction as a teenager, she attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 2013 with the highest achievable grade point average in the physics department. She subsequently pursued graduate studies at Harvard University, earning a doctorate in 2019.
During her doctoral work, she co-discovered a novel manifestation of infrared physics known as the spin memory effect. This phenomenon represents a permanent, physical distortion or angular momentum imprint left behind in the fabric of spacetime after the passage of gravitational waves. While these concepts currently remain entirely theoretical, they establish a foundational roadmap for ongoing investigations into quantum gravity.

The Modern Proper is one of the best recipe blogs on the web.
They are now seeing their traffic plummet, being outranked by Reddit for keywords like [ground beef recipes]
Here is the super-duper helpful, not-spammy Reddit thread outranking them.

I would let the update complete before deciding if there are any fundamental changes you might want to make. There might not be any to do at all.
Your site seems clean and nice. Going through the site, I see [steak pie] as one of your featured recipes. You're in the carousel and second in web links for that. That's a pretty solid sign that we like your content.
If you were previously first, trying to move up from second by doing a lot of technical and content stuff wouldn't be something I'd recommend. Second is super successful. Rankings can also change for various reasons, so you might move back up.
You might also look to see if there's any seasonal change. IE: instead of looking at rankings, look at your traffic. If it was higher previously, what for? Perhaps you had some seasonal recipes a few months ago that people are looking for less. We have a page about debugging traffic drops that talks about seasonality here:

I’m not against removing low quality sites from search.
But I find it amusing that Google is giving 2 months to large publications to remove spam from their sites.
For small businesses they deindex them overnight.
If this isn’t double standards I don’t know what is.

You’ll ignore a keyword because of 10 monthly volume.
Cluster it with 10-20 other related keywords you may be looking at 1000+ monthly volume.
Move away from keywords and move towards topics.

Never give up on niche websites.
Google isn't the only source of traffic for websites, it's just one in the forefront of our minds.
Most SEO sites are also a good fit for Facebook and Pinterest traffic with some minor adjustments to layout and content.
In-depth guide coming!

This is the @sistrix visibility for a subfolder containing AI-generated articles about using a certain popular computer software program... it was working, but looks like it's tanking now.

Lol….
This is my new Facebook/Pinterest site (90% organic SOCIAL) thankfully I know the content is awesome because the *humans* on Facebook have said so and shared it.
Looks like it was going to start 🚀🌕 with organic search (which I haven’t even targeted)
Will keep doing what I’m doing.
My advice,
👉check out what @AndySkraga is doing for Facebook traffic.
👉 get started on Pinterest and hit it hard -(check my pinned tweet for what I’m doing)
👉 create a free tool or a high quality lead magnet and start building that email list. Doesn’t matter which mailing provider, any will do.
👉 tailor your content to shareable topics and send emails often (take a week to schedule them, link back to your posts)
May the odds be ever in your favour 🕊️✌️

2nd site is finally growing (slowly) on Pinterest. It’s been such a slog, but I’ve realised that applying my 1st sites strategy (home decor) to this site (travel) does not work. Travel on Pinterest is a completely different beast & it’s all about the large, long, text images!

In the cases of "pure spam" manual actions (I've dealt with them for over 10+ years now), it's almost always the same:
Remove the content, tell Google you've removed it, and beg for forgiveness (tell them you won't do it again). They'll remove the manual action. Might take a while, but it will be removed.

Google just announced the March 2024 spam updates, and now I'm hearing of at LEAST 25 domains/sites that have received manual action penalties for "pure spam".
So Google's not just dealing with it via algo updates, they're penalizing sites and giving them manual actions.
If you get a manual action from Google for "pure spam", which is a type of manual action that's been around for at least 10+ years, it's the same response: you need to completely remove all that content, start over with fresh new content, and then 'beg for forgiveness' from Google. Tell them you've removed the content and won't do it again. That's the only way you'll get the penalty removed. And even then, it may take a year or more to recover. Some sites never recover.
If you have a manual action, though, I've been dealing with them since before the Panda/Penguin updates, so it's been a while. I offer a Google penalty removal service: hartzer.com/google-penalty-r…

No deindexation here….
None at all, on any of my *fully* AI built sites.
No negative impact either on my *partial* AI sites that are padding out OR optimizing content.
Having reviewed some of the others - they fucking deserved it.
