How I won $1000 by mistake.
I joined a @Celo hackathon thinking it was a normal Web2 project. Turns out it was Web3. Our team of 4 ladies took 2nd place … which I didn’t even know how to withdraw for a year. 😂
Lesson: You don’t miss the shots you take.
Highlights of my weekend @WaterAidCanada x @theaifellowship Hackathon.
The problem:
A village district’s register says 79% of water points work, but its record is 593 days old. Pumps break quietly, and repairs wait on who pays.

DeFi School starts TODAY!
If you haven’t signed up yet, this is your chance 🫡
DeFi isn’t just about trading tokens. It’s the infrastructure for a new financial system.
→ Learn how DeFi actually works
→ Build practical skills
→ Explore real protocols and opportunities
→ Go from learner to ecosystem builder
SQL or NoSQL? 👀
Relational = structured data + relationships.
Non-relational = more flexible data models.
Le meilleur choix dépend toujours du problème à résoudre.
Don't choose a database because it's trendy.

We’re not going to Devcon this year.
Not because builders matter less. The opposite.
For this next period we’re putting our time, energy, and resources where it’s needed most: SF + London
We’re building Hero Network, creating new hubs, and opening new pipelines for founders, startups, and investment.
The conference circuit is cooked anyway.
We want to be intentional.
More to come on the builders still being supported by @HERDAOIndia 🫡
🤖 Made with AI
A smart contract can't just Google:
“What's the price of ETH right now?” 😂
It needs a way to receive information from outside its environment.
That's the basic job of an oracle.
System needs data → external source → information comes in.
The messenger matters. 👀

New rooms. New people. New ideas.
The @Snowflake AI World Tour was one of the stops, and the conversations around data + AI definitely gave me some things to think about.
Hello, October. 👋🏾

One thing I noticed at @nrthtechCA Festival:
The tech conversation is getting bigger than AI.
It’s becoming a conversation about infrastructure, capital, payments, ownership and where the value of Canada’s digital economy actually sits.
That got my attention.
At @SuperteamCAN @solana Summit, I kept coming back to one question:
What does it take to move from “cool prototype” to something people actually use?
Product. UX. Infrastructure. Compliance. Distribution.
That’s the Web3 building conversation I want more of.
My favourite part of @nrthtechCA Festival?
Women in Tech Networking
The bingo was actually genius 😂
Instead of awkward “what do you do?” conversations, the prompts gave us a reason to walk up to people and actually talk.
Sometimes networking just needs a little structure.
Two stops today !
Elevate/Nrth Festival and @SuperteamCAN @solana Summit
Grand finale for both
