The diffuse radiation of the Tectonic DML500 interacts so benignly with reflective surfaces (like walls, floors, and ceilings) that reflections do not disturb the perceived sound, guaranteeing a more consistent temporal and timbral accuracy. Learn more: tectonicproaudio.com/about-t…

The Tectonic DML500 uses deliberate anisotropy in its vibrating panel to achieve wide, even dispersion and a smooth response. The uni-directional carbon fibers in the panel skins allow the bending waves to travel at different speeds in different directions.

Boundaries (2 of 2 on panel design)
Boundary conditions can have a strong influence on modal distribution, because they delimit the modal radiation of the panel. A couple things help optimize the panel response... (cont) #audioengineer #proav

Exciter Placement (1 of 2 on panel design)
It's tough to get an even frequency response from a flat panel loudspeaker if modes aren't evenly distributed across the panel. The DML500 panel's central area (shown in graphic) is the best placement for the four exciters... (cont)
