I hate when y'all post about your friends like this and allow people to drag them in the comments without correcting them. You don't seem like much of a friend. Just stay home so she can be around people that actually want to celebrate her.
My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long.
Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

as a single childless woman, you can show up for countless bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, kid's birthday parties, anniversary dinners etc. but if you want even a modicum of reciprocation suddenly it's mortifying and beyond the pale. lol ok.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Society just accepts showing up for every whim of married &/or parents but outside of that things are often presented as fanciful or an inconvenience. Its actually unacceptable.
Inviting someone somewhere doesn’t mean that it’s by force you must attend. If i INVITE you somewhere it means i care enough about you to want you there but i should also be understanding if you can’t attend :/ what exactly is annoying about that

Asking doesn’t mean i have a gun to your back. What happened to “no sorry i cant make it but would love to do something else that works better for my schedule” ??????
No one asked them to do that. Mind you these are the same people that will turn around and complain that their friends don’t include them in their plans

The insufferable people are you all. Expecting mothers to prioritize yall over their kids is insane. We often talk about how unreasonable it is for men to have all day hobbies like golf and fishing while moms stay home and yall want 3 days?

I would hate to be y'all's friends, simply not going and planning a dinner with them earlier would have sufficed, Tweeting about how you passively aggressively think I'm doing too much for my birthday & getting people to shit on my birthday plans bc you & ur husband suck is nuts

I can’t stand how Ashley talks like she’s the White House press secretary when it’s time to talk to the group
She’s taking the mick huh? It’s one thing if they accidentally use it but for her to instruct them to use your bathroom is mind games

"fight or shut up!" while filming Mia assaulting Wendy was her UGLIEST moment... i cautiously like Robyn this season so far, but will neverrrr fall for the propaganda that she was an even-tempered voice of reason throughout her HW tenure. #rhop
And when you guys say Karen is more likeable than Wendy, what exactly is it that makes it that way? And i say this as someone who likes both. Karen’s sense of self is WAY more inflated than Wendy’s and she’s more arrogant as well.
The only thing you guys hold over Wendy is her being condescending for having 4 degrees but which HW with actual accolades wouldn’t use that to remind people of who they are??
