Carney is Blackrock's Bankruptcy Trustee! Carney wrote April 2019, "If some companies and industries fail to adapt to this new [anti-carbon] world, they will fail to exist."xitter.cf/Concern70732755/status…

Right again. We reported on the transshipments before reporters in the mainstream media even knew what they were!
Newt Gingrich asserts that Carney blew up the trade deal due to the US insistence that Canada ensure that Chinese products weren't transshipped into the US.
"He'd rather have a trade war than give up their ability to deal directly with China."
See Canadian National Steel & Farjess Inc. pleading guilty to transshipment & paying a $19M fine.

There are so many people talking trash about the US and saying Trump is pushing them into a recession.
I tend to look at how investors see the country and go by the value of the almighty dollar.
My Canadian investments stayed flat for 5 years under the Liberals. Literally. My investment guy made more money off moving them around than I made off them in gains.
I switched my investments from Canadian equities to American and they've kept going up since.
In the graph below, you can literally see when I switched.
Canada is heading for a dark place. We've been on that road for a long time. America can absorb tariffs a lot easier than we can. They have the industries, the population, the trading partners and the means to get their product to market. But most of all, they have FAR MORE major industries lining up to set up shop and build factories.
Canada.........well.........the govt invests billions into companies ALREADY here only to have them take the money and leave anyways. Thanking the govt for their donation on the way out.
If you had a message for both govts, what would it be?

South Korea: Called the outcome “a truly wonderful and beautiful negotiation.” The deal lowered tariffs to 15% in exchange for large Korean investment commitments in the U.S. (hundreds of billions, capped annually) plus market access for autos and agriculture. Trump praised Lee as a strong negotiator.
Mexico: Stayed at the table. President Claudia Sheinbaum has defended keeping USMCA, saying it benefits all three countries through integrated production and jobs. She called Mexico well-positioned because most of its U.S. exports still enter duty-free, expressed optimism after Canada walked away, and said her government is seeking lower steel, auto, and aluminum tariffs while considering buying more U.S. goods to shrink the surplus.
In short, Mexico’s public line has been pragmatic and continuity-focused: keep the existing framework, reduce remaining sectoral tariffs, and avoid a rupture. That is the opposite of Carney’s decision to suspend talks.
Wake up Canada!
🚨Before accusing the United States of being unfair or asking too much, look at the historical pattern of the 20 other trade deals it has signed & what other leaders commented.
Carney walked away & said the U.S. terms were “uneconomic, unfair” and that Washington “asked too much & offered too little.”
That is NOT what other leaders & dealmakers said.
🔵 EU - Ursula von der Leyen: “Today’s deal creates certainty in uncertain times. It delivers stability and predictability…Together, we can ensure stable, predictable, balanced and mutually beneficial transatlantic trade.”
🔴 UK - Keir Starmer: “This is a really fantastic, historic day… This is going to boost trade… not only protect jobs, but create jobs.”
🟠 India - Narendra Modi: “Delighted that Made in India products will now have a reduced tariff of 18%. Big thanks to President Trump… it benefits our people and unlocks immense opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.”
🌸 Japan - Officials said they “protected national interests,” locked in 15% auto tariffs with no quota, and later called it a “GREAT DEAL.”
Same basic model everywhere for the other countries:
Lower U.S. tariff, partner opens its market, investment to purchase commitments.
🍁 Canada was offered what Washington called the BEST treatment of any major exporter.
Carney still walked.
Never provided transparency of the details.
Yet, 20 other governments made a fair deal and called it historic, balanced, mutually beneficial, or at least certain.
Carney is the outlier.
The receipts are public.
🟡 UAE businessman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem: “What Trump wants is fair trade. He doesn’t want free trade. From Trump’s point, the American market is open. You want to work with the US and open your market.”
Unions punishing Canadian businesses that want to leave.
NEW: Canadian Unifor Union President Lana Payne has urged Carney to leverage the Foreign Extraterritorial Measures Act to PUNISH companies that shift Canadian jobs and production to the U.S.

Two Conservative MPs showed up.
Two.
There are two Canadian MPs, aside from Dean Allison himself, in attendance for the second day of the Allison Inquiry.
They are:
Mike Dawson — Conservative MP for Miramichi—Grand Lake (New Brunswick). Elected federally in 2025 after previously serving as a Progressive Conservative MLA in New Brunswick. Mike also attended Day 1 of the Inquiry.
Jagsharan Singh Mahal - Conservative MP for Edmonton Southeast, Alberta. He won the seat in the April 28, 2025 federal election, defeating former Edmonton mayor Amarjeet Sohi (Liberal).

Hodgson did not merely defend Canadian oil..🇨🇦 he punctured the comforting delusion surrounding it.
Activist reporter: “But it pollutes.”
That is an observation, not an energy policy.
The world still consumes oil. If Canada refuses to produce it, demand does not disappear through moral alchemy; production, prosperity and geopolitical leverage simply migrate to regimes with weaker standards and none of our values.
A barrel does not become virtuous merely because Canada imports it.
Oil left underground funds no pensions, heats no homes, strengthens no sovereignty and displaces no dirtier foreign crude. Canada’s responsibility is to produce the energy the world still needs as cleanly as possible while investing seriously in what eventually replaces it.
Reducing methane, lowering emissions intensity and developing carbon capture is not climate denial.
But outsourcing emissions and unemployment, then congratulating ourselves for both, is climate theatre.
Well said, @timhodgsonmt.

Liberals are critical of Poilievre because his only job has been a Member of Parliament for 22 years. They ignore the fact that their leader has not been a politician for 22 months. This lack of political experience is proving to be a weakness for Canada.
