Israeli reports of a Saudi offer of $1 billion to Yemen’s Ansar Allah to end the war are laughable.
Before Ansar Allah shut down the Red Sea in 2023, Saudi Arabia had already agreed—as part of the UN roadmap—to channel $1–2 billion PER YEAR to cover public-sector salaries in Ansar Allah-controlled areas. That money was to come from Yemen’s own oil revenues in territory then held by Saudi-backed forces.
Now Ansar Allah controls most of those areas, fully controls the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, and has demonstrated it can shut down Saudi energy infrastructure, shipping, and airports.
Why would they accept a deal substantially worse than the 2023 offer?

هذا الاجتماع هو أول إجتماع بين حلف مكة وإيران منذ توقيع إتفاق مكة في أغسطس الماضي والذي ينص أن أي هجوم على عضو هو هجوم على الجميع.
*لماذا لجأوا إلى إيران ❓️
لثلاثة أسباب :
*أولاً- أمريكا باعتهم*
حلف مكة وقع للدفاع ضد إسرائيل لكن أمريكا قالت لهم لن نحميكم إذا هاجمتم إسرائيل، فعرفوا أن الضمانة الأمريكية كذبة.
*ثانياً- الخوف من الحرب الشاملة*
إذا ضربت أمريكا وإسرائيل إيران، فإيران سترد على كل القواعد الأمريكية في الخليج، والقواعد موجودة في السعودية وقطر والبحرين والكويت وقطر. يعني السعودية ستدفع الثمن فجاؤوا إلى طهران يقولون نريد خفض التصعيد.
*ثالثاً - إيران هي القوة الحقيقية*
إيران أثبتت في الحرب الأخيرة في فبراير أنها صمدت أمام أمريكا وإسرائيل معا، وردت، بينما حلف مكة بدون إيران هو حلف ورقي.
الخارجية الإيرانية قالتها بوضوح "الأمن المستدام" لا يأتي إلا بقدرات دول المنطقة بعيدا عن التدخلات الخارجية.
ذلك يعني يا سعودية ويا تركيا ويا باكستان، تعالوا نبني أمن المنطقة بأنفسنا، ولا ننتظر أمريكا التي تريد أن تحرقنا جميعا من أجل إسرائيل.
ولهذا ذهبوا إلى طهران مطأطئي الرؤوس
لأنهم عرفوا أن لا أمن لهم بدون إيران
