“The bulk of the population did not support privatisation of infrastructure. The governments just went ahead and did it anyway. It didn’t matter who you voted for.”
They play the culture wars. It’s toxic and it isn’t unifying the country. Time to get back to building infrastructure and providing essential services.
Full episode with Gerard Rennick is now available on Youtube.
Former LNP Senator for Queensland and leader of the People First Party, Gerard Rennick, sits down for a conversation while in Townsville.
In this conversation Rennick explains how Australia currently funds major infrastructure by borrowing offshore, so that both the capital and the interest leave the country.
He argues for infrastructure bonds issued against sovereign assets (dams, power stations, roads, rail, ports, airports, telecommunications) so the wealth stays here.
We also discuss the drop in the proportion of fourth-generation Australians, the importance of family and birth rates, why he rejects identity politics and ethnic-bloc pandering and the India Migration & Mobility Agreement.
We also discuss fuel and energy sovereignty, and the structural economic imbalances that have reduced the number of people in productive trades.
Full discussion available on YouTube.

LET’S GET DOWN TO REAL WORK, AND STOP PRETENDING PAPER MANIPULATION IS A REAL SOLUTION
So the last 24 hours has seen the coalition come out boasting how under their time in Government the RBA lowered interest rates more than Labor and that somehow this makes them superior economic managers.
Nothing could be further from the truth as the Coalition was responsible for blowing up half a trillion dollars over Covid and trying to get away with it by artificially lowering the price of money.
All they did was inflate debt and house prices leaving out children worse off.
Manipulating interest rates only changes the price of assets, it doesn’t build assets and the resulting goods and services they produce.
Using qualitative measures to try to grow the economy is lazy policy and reflects nothing but the ignorance of today’s politicians.
It encourages speculation instead of production. It rewards financial engineers instead of real engineers and it ultimately hurts future generations that are saddled with unsustainable debt and unaffordable housing.
Governments need to stop gambling with our currency and set about building real assets that produce real goods generated by people who get real education in the trades.
People First is the only party that has a plan to fund the construction of infrastructure and fund apprenticeships to build the infrastructure and in doing so:
• control inflation
• generate essential services
• generate income for governments
• teach real skills to our children so they can stand on their own two feet
• give our children the infrastructure they deserve so they can control their economy instead of the banks

I find it absolutely astonishing the amount of people and mainstream media ripping into boomers and blaming them for “hoarding wealth” from younger generations. This is all I’ve been seeing in the financial media last week and a bit.
If you’re in this camp, your tiny feeble brains need waking up and you need to stop believe the horse shit you’re swallowing from the media.
Couple of facts!
- boomers, like their parents worked hard their life’s, raised families and bought themselves a home. This is the majority of boomers.
- many boomers are still sitting in their family home.
How is it their fault that over decades, cities expanded, the population exploded and houses went from being shelter to a commodity??? This isn’t boomers fault, this is how our society went.
Let’s consider more FACTS!
- all forms of government are incharge of the property market. This included councils releasing land, regulations governing builders, tax laws which favour negative gearing / bulk investor property ownership, bulk immigration which increases demand,
- increased property fueled speculation via home owner grants etc
- new builds for say $700k, there is combine taxation of $180k-$230k that’s paid to all levels of government.
Then there is the debt based monetary system we live with.
- the government controls the money supply,
- the government prints endless money to full budget holes and industrial scale fraud over decades
- it’s the government that is devaluing your money via money printing. The government controls and drives inflation
- INFLATION IS GOVERNMENT POLICY!!
So, before you retards keep swallowing the crap your being feed in the media and jumping on the bandwagon that this is Boomers fault, take a good hard look in the mirror, wake up to yourselves and start looking at some facts and data then you’ll realise the actual truth.
The “haves” and the “have nots” is government induced and NOT a generation induced!

The last week has seen both Anthony Albanese exposed for a organising taxpayer funded grant to a golf club in his electorate, and Katherine King the Infrastructure Minister, accept a lifetime membership of Qantas despite the inherent conflict of Interest.
This isn’t the first time that these two have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
In late 2024 I tried to obtain a copy of the business case for the Federal Government grant of $100 million to the NSW Government for the upgrade of Avoca Road which was close to Albanese’s newly acquired beach house.
I moved a motion passed by the Senate that asked the government for the business case to justify spending $100 million on Avoca Rd, a road that leads to Albanese's beach house.
The government replied that NSW had done the business case.
I then moved another motion passed by the Senate that asked for the documentation between the Federal and NSW State Government in regard to the funding of Avoca Road.
Catherine King the Infrastructure Minister replied:
"The release of correspondence relating to discussions between the Australian and NSW Governments on projects funded under the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP) would constitute a risk to Commonwealth-State relations and therefore will not be provided as part of this request."
(See documents in comments).
The refusal to release these documents is a disgrace and a slap in the face to the Senate who requested the Minister release the documents.
Furthermore it only lends credence to the view held by many that Albanese has done this to impress his new girlfriend, now wife.
If the business case was above board what has the Government got to hide?
Clearly Albanese has abused his power and needs to go.

There's 2 groups in HK. Former house slaves and field slaves.
The house slaves LOVED the British as they got civil service jobs and apartments and much better treatment.
The field slaves were treated like crap so hate the british.

It’s often said that there’s no biomarker for ME/CFS, Long Covid, Post Vaccine Syndrome, PSSD, Lyme Disease, etc.
I strongly disagree. However, it helps to have the right data and tools to visualise it.
To help people explore the Born Free disease model and better understand the connections between the minerals deficiencies, metal toxicities and disease model processes, I've added 10 random example pairs of Oligoscan (corrected, skin minerals + toxic metals) + Theriome Aristotle Plus data (296 metabolites) to the Metabolic Pathway Overlay tool.
bornfree.life/learn/metaboli…
Some common patterns to observe across these patient profiles:
1) Elevated toxic metals, with mineral and electrolyte deficiencies, relating to pathway alterations.
2) A reduced total NADP/NADPH pool size and impaired conversion of NADP to NADPH (low NADPH), with broad effects. The reported exception (#4) is where aluminium is not elevated.
3) Constraints on glycolysis and glycogen synthesis, gluconeogenesis.
4) Altered pyruvate and/or lactate levels, ratio.
5) Constraints on the pentose phosphate pathway and downstream PRPP synthesis.
6) Impairments in purine and pyrimidine metabolism, Cell Danger Response.
7) Oxidative stress.
8) TCA cycle alterations and constraints.
9) Issues with NAD+ synthesis and redox.
10) Reduced carnitine synthesis and associated carnitine-shuttle constraints.
11) Elevated glutamate relative to low GABA, except where severe induced malnutrition constrains glutamate synthesis.
12) Issues with glutathione metabolism.
13) Issues involving magnesium and Mg-ATP.
14) Urea-cycle and nitric oxide synthase impairments, with potential effects on vascular tone.
15) Dysregulated neurotransmitter synthesis and degradation.
16) Impaired conversion of choline to betaine.
17) Impaired methylation and associated SAMe, glycine, and cysteine metabolism.
18) Impaired creatine synthesis.
Importantly, you can see coherence between the tests and inferred causality for pathway alterations.
When you consider these metabolic alterations in specific cells / tissues - brain, liver, kidneys, thyroid, immune, etc., it becomes much easier to understand how mitochondrial dysfunction creates systemic impacts and a progressive cascade.

The question is: what does the average taxpayer get from this?
I'm seeing their living standards get worse, not better - so clearly the cost of those extra hands isn't delivering a worthwhile return.
On the contrary, administrative roles are more likely to hinder productivity than to boost it - which means we're paying people to suppress our prosperity.
Labor has added 28 public servants every day. Is that too much? afr.com/policy/economy/labor…

Apparently “far right” now means wanting reliable and affordable energy, immigration at a level our housing and infrastructure can absorb, lower taxes and a government that lives within its means. These aren’t extremist ideas. They’re ordinary questions of how competent government is supposed to operate. One Nation is increasingly occupying the political space others abandoned: controlled immigration, energy security, lower taxation and smaller, more accountable government.
Call it whatever you like, I’ll continue to call it common sense.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Treasurer Jim Chalmers have reacted after One Nation secured its first seat in WA, labelling the minor party ‘dangerous’ and ‘divisive’.

That trillion dollar IPO is looking less likely by the day...
If Thomson Reuters can do this, any large company can, which means the enterprise model for all the big AI cos is largely a bust.
That's all their cash flow gone, so good luck paying for all those datacentres... 😉
🦔Thomson Reuters just built its own AI model for about $40 million over two years. The final training run cost $450,000. They started with Qwen, an open-source model from China's Alibaba, and trained it on their own legal and news content from Westlaw, Practical Law, and Reuters. The company said the move is about reducing its dependence on Anthropic. Their CTO compared paying for outside AI to being a permanent tenant versus owning the building. Enterprise customers broadly have been cutting spending on OpenAI and Anthropic and switching to cheaper alternatives.
My Take
I covered the DeepSeek pricing collapse a few months ago and said the frontier labs would have a hard time defending premium API pricing once open-source got good enough. Thomson Reuters just did exactly what I expected someone to do. They grabbed a free model, trained it on their own stuff, and now they're pulling back from Anthropic. $40 million, done. Anthropic charges that in API fees from a handful of big customers in a year.
The $190 to $200 billion revenue projection Anthropic is selling to IPO investors assumes companies like Thomson Reuters keep paying. They just stopped. And Thomson Reuters put their model on Hugging Face for academics to use, which means the playbook is now public. I think the frontier API business has maybe two or three years before most large companies with good data figure out they can do this themselves, and the ones who move first are going to pressure the ones still paying full price to ask why.

Hi Jack, I can describe this one in quite some detail and the data is highly repeatable:
The “missing piece of the puzzle” is the ionome -> metalloproteome in the context of mitochondrial and related metabolism.. and this is anecdotally now much easier to restore, with recent improvements in intervention, especially with regards to the accumulated toxic metals.
Glutathione metabolism includes synthesis, peroxidase activity and (NAPD) redox.
The synthesis side takes outputs of the methylation and transsulfuration pathways - glycine and cysteine. Zinc, folate, choline and thiamine have important roles here. NADPH:NADP also regulates folate -> THF (and BH4).
Glutathione peroxidase requires selenium, which is antagonised by silver and mercury accumulation. If glutathione metabolism is inhibited, mitochondrial ROS is not regulated and Complex I inhibition follows, impairing NAD+:NADH.
Glutathione reductase activity requires sufficient oxidised glutathione and NADPH, making NADP. It requires FAD (riboflavin, zinc and magnesium, ATP sensitive) and is inhibited by cadmium and lead. It also needs a NADP:NADPH redox partner - G6PD is the main one.
G6PD is inhibited by aluminium and poor glycolysis -> glucose-6-phosphate. Aluminium also inhibits glucokinase, affecting this. Low magnesium, chromium, phosphate, gluconeogenesis (for non-hepatic tissues) are also relevant.
In this way, impaired NADP redox leads to a spiral of oxidative stress, impaired NAD redox, impaired mitochondrial metabolism, pathological glutamate metabolism, impaired glycogen synthesis and glycolysis, low lactate threshold, cell danger response dysregulation, impaired methylation, low BH4, impaired histamine degradation with dysregulated mast cell degranulation and an array of other measurable problems.
This also creates a dysregulated stress response. TCA cycle flux -> oxidative stress -> Complex I inhibition -> NAD+ redox inhibition promotes intracellular glutamate, normally used to promote glutathione. When this fails, glutamate becomes elevated inside the cells.
(see figure 14)
Sympathetic signalling (adrenaline -> cAMP-PKA) triggers these cells to export that now elevated glutamate pool, where it now becomes a ligand, signalling for calcium influx -> triggering already overloaded cells to ramp up metabolism, creating excitotoxicity / nerve pain / visual and auditory intolerance, etc. Progressive loss of glycogen stores and parasympathetic balance biases sympathetic metabolism as compensation, compounding this issue.
(see figure 18)
A number of these issue create a loop, under mitochondrial flux - exertion, immune activity.
eg. The minerals become depleted and metals accumulate in specific tissues, as part of an inflammatory cascade.
PEM, POTS, MCAS, hEDS, immune dysfunction, autonomic dysfunction - sympathetic dominance / loss of parasympathetic tone, brain fog, fatigue, chronic viral reactivation, microbiome dysbiosis (fermentation syndrome, loss of butyrate production), hyperoxaluria and a long list of other issues are created as part of this progressive cascade.
Various other issues can appear, relating to the status of different minerals and metals, eg. hypothyroidism, impaired hepatic gluconeogenesis.
(see figure 12)
More on the cascade, here - bornfree.life/learn/
If you want to “see” all of this using your own data with these and other diagrams, you can now take eg. Theriome Aristotle Plus and Oligoscan data and run it through the Metabolic Pathway Overlay tool - bornfree.life/learn/metaboli…
