A classy touch from the #Lionesses 💚
Chloe Kelly went over to console Nigeria keeper Chiamaka Nnadozie immediately after she scored the winning penalty for England - talk about respect 👏

Can all of EduTwitter please stop retweeting the TRA report about the teacher/glue gun thing? It has her full name and school name so will have unintended consequences the more it is amplified. I agree it is outrageous but for her sake please stop!

During my teaching career I’ve had a student spit in my face, had a blade pulled on me, chairs thrown at me, I’ve been bitten, punched, elbowed, pushed, threatened, followed home & had a door purposefully rammed shut on my hand.
BUT
A teacher tells a kid not to use a glue gun.

Strike action in schools isn't going to have any real long-term impact on a child. But endless funding cuts, a retention crisis caused by pay & conditions, collapsing staff morale & the unnecessary pressures created by Ofsted & excessive accountability, yeah, I think that might.

State-funded schools in England that don't already have a defibrillator will receive one over the course of this academic year.
Defibrillators increase the chance of survival from a cardiac arrest, and will help keep children, staff and local communities as safe as possible.❤️
💓 Rehana’s life was saved by a defibrillator when she suffered a cardiac arrest at the gym.
🆕 We're launching a £1 million fund for organisations to bid for life-saving defibrillators to ensure faster access for communities across England.

I'm fed up seeing English PE positions advertising for a 'netball/rugby/hockey...specialist.' I'm yet to see a Maths advert seeking a trigonometry specialist, or an English position only wanting a Shakespeare expert. This practice suggests PE is only about sport performance.
