the easiest way to turn things around defensively for Demeco IMO is to simply go back to his staple from San Franciscoā¦.get back to your man disguise looks & lead with zone..allow the guys to fly around the field & get back to reading & reacting
Iāve never understood why certain GMs feel like itās illegal to negotiate in-seasonā¦.like what else you got to do š¤
Giants and CB Greg Newsome reached agreement on a three-year, $46 million extension, including $32 million guaranteed, per @ErikBurkhardt of @RocNationSports. Newsome previously signed a one-year deal in free agency.
after watching football today, I think itās absolutely apparent the Texans fire Nick Caley
I watched some of the worst teams in football scheme up basic run designs..the Texans running game is broken..it doesnāt matter who you have at RB, the team is simply behind offensively

Itās wild man cause heās extremely easy to root for & weāre all wanting him to succeed & take us where weāve never been before cause itād FEEL good, hell itād feel GREAT. But heās stubborn to the point of blind arrogance & harrowing obliviousness it seems.
when it rains it pours
#Texans WR Jaylin Noel is expected to miss the remainder of the 2026 NFL season due to a turf toe injury that will require surgery, per @jonmalexander.
Noel was starting to flash in Houston's offense, recording 12 catches for 233 yards and 2 TDs over a three-game stretch from Weeks 4-6.
Demeco Ryans super power for me has always been bringing infectious energy, galvanizing the locker room through tough times & bringing that physical mindset
the Texans are now in a phase where those traits alone is not enoughā¦at some point you have to win with scheme
bro got major Love in the city š¤š¾šÆ
I find it kinda ironic & odd that Demecoās āHot Seatā year and contract year, will come in the same offseason
Demeco no doubt deserves an extension butā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦

Breaking: Ernie Johnson has announced this will be his final season hosting Inside the NBA.
Congratulations on an incredible run, @TurnerSportsEJ š
players the Texans should consider trading before the deadline
David Montgomery
Tank Dell
Dalton Shultz
I personally love Tank & wouldnāt entertain it but youād have to wonder how much sense it makes for him to get a new deal here with how deep the roster is at WR

Reunion! The Colts are trading three-time Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
Buckner came to San Francisco as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016. A decade later, heās back.
cut him then! I can use him
#Titans CB Alontae Taylor was active Sunday vs. the Browns after being a healthy inactive last weekābut did not play a snap.
The plan to use him at outside CB has not worked thus far, and moving him back to nickel is not so simple in Tennessee's defensive scheme.
teams have simply caught on to this and are prioritizing helping more on the edgesā¦the philosophy needs changingā¦itās now time for Demeco to scheme better up front
