Our work highlighting the recently launched, Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils was shared in @Forbes. It's a great article check it out to learn more about how the VACS initiative is changing the game for the future of food security. forbes.com/sites/daphneewing…

Farm the Gap is modeled on real-world data challenges and constraints that we’re facing today. Learn more about how @__brodysmith put this all together in his blog post medium.com/earthrisemedia/fa…

Today we’re launching Farm the Gap, a new digital puzzle game. Farm the Gap gives you the keys to a virtual global farm. It’s your job to produce 50% more food to meet future demands, but also respond to the climate crisis and limit emissions stories.theplotline.org/farm…

We're excited to announce that we won the @anthemawards Gold Award for Best Use of Data! Thank you to everyone that has worked with us at The Plotline including @developmentseed @stamen @ZiaMehrabi @AgMIPnews #dataviz #climate #food anthemawards.com/winners/lis…

We wrote more about how we built this some of what we learned along the way on our blog. medium.com/earthrisemedia/bu…

VACS Explorer is built on data produced by @AgMIPnews projecting expected crop yields in a low or high emissions future. We worked with our friends @stamen to illustrate this data in a fresh and compelling visualization.

Africa has been and will continue to be the region in the world most adversely affected by #climateChange. VACS addresses food security in Africa by developing and mobilizing investment in resilient, nutritious indigenous crops suited to the changing climate.

We’re excited to announce the launch of VACS Explorer. This application brings to life the @StateDept Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils (VACS) to develop food crops well-suited to the changing climate in Africa. Explore the vision yourself at vacs.theplotline.org/#/

Shoutout to @developmentseed for being a great partner on the application development and bringing this idea to life! food.theplotline.org

Let us know what you think, or better yet, let us know where your breakfast came from!

Exploring this model reveals a brittle and centralized food system that is at a high risk to be impacted by climate change and economic shocks. @camkruse walks us through more on findings, methodologies, and future plans in this blog post medium.com/earthrisemedia/fo…

We also developed models for how grown foods are impacted by climate stressors and which populations will be impacted downstream by heat stress and drought
