This is a real party, and I’ll be there @sama
I’m not getting a Goblin tattoo though
GPT-5.5 is going to have a party for itself. it chose 5/5 at 5:55 pm for the date and time.
if you'd like to come, let us know here: luma.com/5.5
codex will help the team pick people from the replies. 5.5 had some good ideas/requests for the party, which we'll do.
a vibe coded site that looks cool is easy
but no one builds a website to look at it on their own screen
does it show up in search? how does it rank? are you locked into a subscription just to keep it live?
our GitHub for non-coders episode with @ryan_doser13 is on YouTube: youtu.be/SxjvrqgL1DU
reminder that if you have a @ChatGPT account, you can get a @Yubico key set for 50% off
link to redeem: chatgpt.com/yubikey
not sure what the limits are on this (geography, paid accounts, etc) but it worked for me on a Pro plan in the US today
PSA: in light of recent cyberattacks and vulnerabilities, I recommend everyone:
* use a good password manager (1Password) and do not duplicate passwords
* use two factor auth for everything important (not via sms!! Google Authenticator or better yet YubiKey)
* Auto-updates on, and restart weekly so they actually install
* Freeze your credit
* Get an IRS Identity Protection PIN
* Get your cell carrier to give you a port-out PIN or number lock that makes the carrier refuse to move your number without the PIN
You can ask your claude code to audit what on your laptop is out of date and needs updating.
this is exactly what all @arcinternet users knew would happen when @diabrowser got announced
Sad, Arc is still the best browser of all time
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
I used to be intimidated by @github
“I’m not a real developer, I’m not building apps for other people, I already have Google Drive…”
Now I have over 100 repositories, use it multiple times a day, and have thousands of commits
just start using it, and ask your AI tools for help when you are unsure
wild to think we live in a world where typing your opinions out on the internet gets you paid
blessed to get a double @XCreators payment today that averages out to $3 per hour that spend on this platform
another reason to ditch standalone website building tools:
you can just make your own with Claude or Codex, save them in @github, deploy on @Cloudflare, and repeat
no more being limited to a fixed number of sites, or paying $20/mo just to keep them hosted

the average college educated, business professional in your life still has no clue what a paid version of @ChatGPT can do because they aren’t on X
i used to live in @Google Drive, now i use @github for everything except video & image files
GitHub repos are much more agent native than Drive folders

Framework= Astra

I'm a lifelong wordpress user.
It feels the wordpress plugin and theme spaced is totally f-ed. I'm still using wp but claude's doing everything for me.
these theme businesses were huge. But seem unnecessary now and will be demolished. same with many plugins.
are yall still using wp or just making your own site?
I like using wp for security stuff but also its just what i know.
health teacher: "i don't have the budget for 3d models or videos to demonstrate movements and anatomy to my students"
me: "hold my @claudeai artifact..."
reminder that all those Custom @ChatGPT 's will be gone soon
here's what i'm doing with mine:
-have @OpenAIDevs Codex back them all up to a @github repo
-fork it, and have Astra/Opus look at the instructions for them and start updating them
-then port any i still want active to GPT Plugins
if you made them years ago (i haven't made or edited one in over a year), the instructions are overly prescriptive for today's models, and many are probably unnecessary altogether
