There are only two roles at startups: (1) storytellers and (2) builders. Electrifying combo.
Incredible work from our team and super smart collaborators at @mldcmu! Real workflow data -> LLM web agents.
🧵1/ Introducing ScribeAgent 🤖! Using extensive 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮, we at @mldcmu and @ScribeHow have adapted 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹-𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗟𝗠𝘀 into 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗯 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, outperforming traditional agents that rely on proprietary models like GPT-4 and o1-preview.

“Go share what you know” is exactly why @ScribeHow exists
For all the go-to people
like @CSMikeCardona, the go-to person for automation 🙌🤖
9 years ago I was miserable making $12 / hr.
This week I've landed 2 consulting calls at $1,000 / hr. thanks to this testimonial I received a few days ago. (Vikki has 75K Linkedin followers).
What changed?
I shifted my focus to being useful rather than constantly searching for happiness.
Go share what you know. 🫶

Things that we enjoy searching for: love, the best bagel in NYC, the meaning of life.
Things we don't enjoy searching for: that one Scribe in your workspace.
So we just released a brand new search experience to help you find the exact Scribe you're looking for - 20X as fast.
Clever solution from the fed just dropped: federalreserve.gov/newsevent…
Had a great time reflecting on the @ScribeHow journey! Episode here: hireotter.com/behindcompanyl… (or wherever you get your podcasts).
Featuring the Co-Founder & CTO of @ScribeHow, @theapod.
Aaron is the CTO and co-founder of Scribe, a productivity tool used by over 300,000 users to automatically generate step-by-step guides. Before that, he founded a number of startups and sold Onward to Google in 2018.
Most people aren't productivity-obsessed — but they still want to use tools that let them get back to what they care about (friends, family, deep work) as fast as possible.
If you’re using the @OpenAI API in production, make sure you set a timeout and fallback behavior. Know they’re scaling fast, but there’s been enough downtime to warrant it.
For some reason this cautionary tale is shared often but hard to learn from:
“We focused too much on what we wanted to bring to the world. We needed to pay attention to what the world wanted from us.” (from @ivanhzhao)
I've messed this up so many times...
GPT3 is great at SQL. Was just thinking about how helpful it'd be if it knew about your database and could write queries for you. Saw @DatabaseSensei has already built it — excited to try it out!
The best software transforms painful tasks into ones that can be done in a flow state. Pain -> bliss.
