After a very long 3-4 days, some thoughts on the recent deadly #tornado outbreak in TN.
1. An off duty NWS employee can easily become part of the "general public" and go to bed unaware of the threats that exist. No social media post or media message will help if not checking.
Columbia be ready. Strong weather coming in tonight. A tornado watch is in effect until midnight. Tune into KMOU, KMIZ, and KRCG. Their weather experts will keep you on top of this. I’ll keep my eyes on this too.

Sep 6-still no Atlntic Hrricanes. Sep 10-climatological peak. Last time no hrricanes to Sep 6-1937 one appears Sep 9. Before Satellite era!
