I post particularly gripping threads on Winx Club once in a while. Where can you find them? Over here: 🦋🧵
Winx Club has tried to be every single thing under the sun except itself. Season 8's art style is clearly inspired by LoliRock, and the reboot was an attempt at competing with Miraculous. It's truly sad because this show is supposed to be the blueprint for so many other cartoons.
It's kind of crazy that so many people still don't know Nabu is South Asian in 2026. There has unfortunately never been a main Black Specialist.
The comics give Helia so much depth and personality that his cartoon counterpart feels like a plank of wood.
There are so many edits of Tecna with long hair out there, but I genuinely think she looks better with short hair.
I love Winx Club's emphasis on the girls being a friend group first and foremost. They didn't come together because of a common quest. They were friends before that. "Come join the club, we are the Winx." The show tells the audience they can join the Winx in several songs.
The Bloomix transformation sequence has the best animation of the Nick era. The difference in quality between this and the other transformations is night and day. I'm gagged.
Just because most people praise Flora for her beauty doesn't mean she doesn't have a personality. She's so deeply connected to nature that she can't stand seeing anyone suffer. She's confident, studious, romantic, and a talented botanist. Winx Club would be nothing without Flora.
The Winx girls and their beautiful gazes, each so different from the others. Until the Nick seasons cursed them all with same face syndrome.
Reboot Stella's makeup isn't even awful by itself. Stella has worn that kind of makeup in the past. She's just so pale and ghostly in the reboot that it simply doesn't work anymore.
I've never seen a character who loves denim as much as Bloom. Denim pants, denim skirts, denim overalls as a kid, denim everything in the reboot...
Bloom from Winx Club is the first main character to be hated for being the main character. Congratulations, Bloom!
"And remember who you are. You are fairies. And fairies don't fear witches."
Griselda gave us one of the most powerful lines in the entire series. Alfea was a college that trained warriors. The beautifully designed background fairies were no exception.
