Main trading account has given a little back over the last few months, but we know it's a bumpy road to outperformance.
10-year CAGR running at 32.45%.
Remember, a simple strategy applied for the long-term is all you need.

Trading success isn’t in the perfect entry.
It’s in the calm between trades.
I may not always have the biggest winners, the highest win rate, or the most profit.
But I take a loss without flinching, stick to the process, and treat every signal as if the last one never happened.

I'm reading on some forums that momentum, trend following, and mechanical systematic trading are dead.
Again.
Apparently, this time it's due to 24-hour trading.
I'm 40 years into this game.
I heard it when pricing went decimal.
I heard it when trading floors closed.
I heard it when bond yields started rising.
I'm sure there were times I didn't hear it, but it was being said by someone somewhere.
Below is the simulated equity curve of my main US momentum model, which was launched in 2015 and built on data from 1995.
It has 4 rules.
Using that model, on that data, and tested back to 1955, it's hard to suggest that anything has changed.

About 4 years of drawdowns across the full portfolio of strategies. Current drawdown: -7.55%
Get comfortable with drawdowns. They're the price of playing...

Hey @nehal_rm1 happy to have this conversation with you. Let’s talk about what it means to be a profitable trader. Since September 1, you’ve had 35 PRO+ live trading accounts. You have gone max loss in 21 accounts and you took out profits in 14 accounts. Your live trading resulted in a net loss of $6,100 across all these accounts. So, you are not net profitable - even though you took withdrawals.
In total though, you lost $56,000 of our live trading capital (net of the 10% profit share we got on your withdrawals) because of the way you cycled through accounts. It's a good trade for you - you got $67k in payouts from your PRO+ accounts. All the while not actually being a profitable trader in the market.
But we're not going to enable this reckless behavior more. All of your max loss accounts happened within a day of the account even opening. In four trading days alone, you lost $89,685 in live trading capital.
Did you have some good days? Two. A $30k and a $20k day. And you showed some promise. The second to last set of PRO+ accounts were profitable. That's why we initially gave you an exception for PRO+ Development. We always try to give traders the benefit of the doubt. We're rooting for you. And then you lost $18,000 of live capital in one day on 10/13. The same day those live accounts were opened.
So no, right now, we’re not going to give you a full $20k again to lose in live markets. It’s not OK to lose $20k and close your accounts in one day. And we think you know that…

Unfortunately @TakeProfitLLC doesn’t like profitable traders!
I was moved to pro+ development and requested a review on 10/13 and was told I will be removed from the program
I had zero activity on my account since 10/13 and today I woke up to an email that I am being placed in pro+ development again!
When I reached out to support, they refused to review my account & said the move back is based on recent activity
I have had ZERO activity on my profile the past 2 days
Sad because it was my new favorite prop firm
Despite global volatility and waning investor sentiment, our All-Weather strategy is 0.73% from its equity high.
A very defensive stance and long $PDBC are helping the cause.

Asking for a friend...
How does an equity growth fund with a 19-year CAGR of +3.45% have $600mm in AUM?
Just before the 2016 election, all our portfolios were 100% long and fully invested. Trends were broad and strong.
That's a stark difference from today heading into the midterms. Trends are weak, and breadth is lacking. As such, many of the portfolios are holding 60% - 100% cash.
Is that the right positioning? Who knows.
The only thing I do know is that if trends return, we'll get fully invested again.
