If you are a PR fan and not reading Power Rangers Unlimited #4 then you need to change that ASAP! Each issue is a self-contained story with Rangers from different eras. Kenny Porter and Joey Esposito are adding new lore! Federico Sorresa's art captures each Ranger perfectly!
Writer Tate Brombal joins me from NYCC 2026 to chat Batgirl, Bad Seeds, and Cassandra Cain's journey. Plus we talk New Titans and how they brought Static, Yara, and Stephanie Brown to the team!

Superman Unlimited #18 continues what has been a really strong refocusing of the series around Jon Kent and his pursuit of a new identity & life for himself beyond the legacy of being Superman's son.
This feels like an incredibly relatable new hook for Jon. So many people wrestle with the burden of their family's legacy and the desires of their parents. So seeing Jon try (and fail) at finding new career paths while embracing his new Tomorrow Man moniker feels like the perfect next step in his evolution as a character.
Clark struggling with why his son would want to forgo the Superman name struck the right chord. I'm excited to see how they build on this new dynamic moving forward as they move forward into the next chapter of their father/son relationship.
The fight sequence in Vegas with the Royal Flush Gang is a delight and leads to a really hilarious sight gag I couldn't stop laughing at.
Dan Slott and Lucas Meyer feel really in sync right now. I think they're doing something really special and progressive with Jon that feels like exactly what this character has been needing for ages. Add to that some development for Natasha Irons. This is a book more people should be reading.

I can finally talk about Mass Effect Universe.
Since Bioware closed I can now reveal that I was part of the Mass Effect Council, saw what BioWare was building, and provided feedback during development.
• Set 600+ years after the Reaper War
• You play as a customizable N7 agent
• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond
• Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending
• A galaxy divided into three major factions
• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together
• Council races forming their own alliance
• The Geth emerging as a third superpower
• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary
• Geth-built megastructures
• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda
• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference
• Hacking and manipulating the environment
• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more
• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3
• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them
• Brutal close-range executions
• Squadmates who can clash with each other
• Romance wasn't being sanitised
• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch
From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
It looked incredible.
And now we may never get to play it.

EXCUSE EVERYONE! CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE! I NEED TO GIVE THE GREATEST OF HAPPY BIRTHDAYS TO THE LEGENDARY EDITOR, THE ILLEST, THE WISEMAN, THE ILLMASTER! JOSEPH P ILLEDGE!
Folks still don’t understand the impact he has had on the comic industry & the lives he has changed. From his origins at Milestone, to being the first black editor in DC’s Batman office, to helping Catalyst Prime, now he’s even writing comics & mentoring the next generation of creators. Happy birthday @JosephPIllidge!

And one more Superman Unlimited cover, guys! With a bit of the process for you! I hope you guys enjoy it!
Four quick takeaways from DC Comics January 2027 Solicitations:
- Sort of a "quiet" month for Absolute with multiple fill-in artists and several books just coming out of their last big arcs. Super pumped to see Belen Ortega drawing Absolute Black Canary.
- The Superman line continues to be a beacon of light for me, and I'm loving the direction all of the books are going in. Superman Unlimited continuing to build on the Clark/Jon dynamic has been a great pivot for that title, and everything about this Night Shift arc in Superman sounds killer.
- Stephanie Williams and Dexter Soy teaming up on a Wonder Girls centric Justice League book featuring various "cold" characters is so unbelievably random and I'm 10000% here for it. The Wonder Girls doing anything is a win.
- I need this Blackest Night compendium more than water and oxygen.

Really proud to have absolute Batman 25 come out alongside this amazing book. ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN 25 is the culmination of one of the best runs. I’ve ever read in Comics by some friends who I look up to as people and creators

Excited to see how DC kickstarts 2027. We already know about the changes coming to Wonder Woman, and the one shots for Black Lightning and New Gods. Couple other questions:
- What does January look like for the Absolute Universe in the leadup to the event?
- Will there be any new ongoing launches to start the year? Shadow of the Bat?
- Any other major creative team shakeups?
- What new collected editions get announced today?
We're four issues into Power Rangers Unlimited, which has been fantastic and everything I've ever wanted from a Ranger book. That means we're 1/3 of the way through Alessio Zonno's stunning connecting variant series.
I actually had the opportunity to see the completed image and lemme tell you: this thing is going to look INSANELY cool when it's done.

Nightwing #143 is such a great example of an event tie-in done right. It continues the overarching story of Dick physically struggling with the fallout from the superhighway incidents while giving him a logical reason to be in Gotham for Bad Seeds.
It also reinforces my long held belief that Dick/Damian >>> Bruce/Damian.
The issue gives a great glimpse into just how much their dynamic has evolved (and how much Damian has grown as a character) since their early days as Batman & Robin.
Also loved seeing Cass's cameo. Really made the event feel much more interconnected and alive. Bad Seeds has been at its best when it focuses on the heroes on the ground helping the people of Gotham through the chaos, and this is easily one of the better issues from it.
