he stayed back a little to watch her more before swimming back to shore and getting out of the water. making his way to where they left their shoes , bending down receiving his shirt, putting it back on over his head. and putting his shoes on.

“don't wanna get you in trouble because of me. ” Jack says softly , Jack is more of a troubled teenager than Sophia was, and he wouldn’t forgive himself if he had gotten her into trouble. “ wanna go get some ice cream? ”

Jack swims over to where Sophia is. His gaze lingers on hers for a moment, taking her in his eyes roaming over her features 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙩. “ You think we should get back before anyone notice we're missing? ”

don't mind him watching. he's never been into what it is he was doing, so it sounds very interesting to just watch.

“ Well, played Soph. well played.” Jack spoke as she was being tugged down into the water with her , now fully soaked his curls sticking to his forehead his gaze landed on hers intensely.

Jack couldn’t stop chuckling as he watched with amusement as she came back to the surface , a huge grin on his face. eyes widen as she splashes on water on him , then tugging onto his arm. “ hey — ”

Jack gripped at her thighs gently to stop her from attempting to wrap her legs around him so he couldn’t drop her in the water , doing it anyway, letting her go water splashing everywhere. “ My bad, you slipped. ” he joker with a chuckle from his lips.

Jack was full of laughing now as he moved closer to the water, getting in still holding onto Sophia his smile widened. “ Any last words , before i dump you into this water? ”

luckily, Jack was a much better and faster runner than Sophia ever was. He caught up to her quickly , catching her by wrapping her arms around her mid section, lifting her up off the sand, chuckling a cheerful happiness washing over him.

Jack smiled, tugging Sophia with him with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “ You are coming in the water with me , it’ll be fun.” Jack spoke mischievously, lurring Sophia more closely towards the water.

╱ since watching season six, I imagined what it would be like if Haley had adopted Jack instead of Jack moving to Charlotte.

Jack chuckles at that , knowing she had a clue that it was his idea, letting go of her hand to take his own shoes off even though he didn’t sand in his shoes. “ it’s a good thing we ditched then.” Jack, without thinking, took his shirt off, leaving his shirt next to his shoes.
