I have seen at least 4 tweets this morning about how Ngozi Fulani was inviting questions because of how she was dressed so it 'wasn't racist.' Nope. I'm white-American and for the past decade people have been telling me that I 'fit in' and that I 'seem British'.
Regardless of what I was wearing I have never had to justify my presence in a space. I could probably show up wearing cowboy boots and the star spangled banner and people would still tell me I had assimilated well. That's #WhitePrivilege
