Married men, does your wife buy you clothes or do you shop for clothes yourself?
Every few weeks, I come home and my wardrobe has expanded. I am wondering if this is a normal reality in marriage.
I hate seeing sports gambling ads dominate sports. Gambling addiction is just as destructive as drug addiction. Gambling responsibility is such a joke. It is like a cocaine dealer going on TV saying snort responsibility. The worst part is we have athletes pushing the gambling drug.
Oiler’s do not have the goal tending to win the cup. I am not saying that because of a bad game. I am saying that because neither goalie is a top 20 goalie in this league
Over the past few years we have seen gambling ads appear in our favourite sports programming on TV, we have seen radio stations and podcasts embrace gambling money. I am curious if any of the local media/radio/podcast folk who are funded in part by sports gambling have discussed the increase in gambling online by young men.
It seems to me if a product you are promoting is damaging to a key demographic of your show, you might find other sponsors… or has morality been replaced by greed?

News article comes out insinuating Canada might join EU. This happens while Canada is in a trade war with the US.
What amuses me, those who often dismiss legacy media now suddenly believe legacy media.
The level of discourse that happened all of sudden seems coordinated.
It has never been easier to manipulate the masses than it is now.
Awhile back I tweeted about a young man who took the bus and then ubered to work.
That young man worked 5-6 days a week, 730 pm to 3 am all summer long. No complaints, no calling in sick, no nothing except hard work.
People talk about there being no jobs for young people. My question to all those young people 18 and over, would you bus and uber to get to a job? Would you work 6 days a week all summer with no calling in tired or sick?
If the answer is no, get use to not having a job because jobs are competitive and your competition is bringing it!
Yesterday, my last interview was memorable. A young man showed up for a 4 pm interview. He came in, sat down and we got to talking. Getting to Acheson is not easy without a car but this young man managed by busing to as close as the bus would get him and then took an Uber.
I was like, why would you do that? Busing and ubering has got to take time and be expensive.
He said he has never had a job and needs that on his resume. He doesn’t want to graduate with a resume with no job on it.
In a day and age when 50% of young people don’t show up for interviews here is a young man willing to bus and uber to get to work.
Of course I am going to hire him. He made the effort to get here. We will figure out a way to help with getting to work and getting home.
I feel bad for a whole generation of young people in universities taking courses and degrees that may or may not he useful in an AI powered world.
Here is a little advice, don’t spend time complaining about the little things other employees you do that bothers you to your boss. Focus on yourself in a workplace not other people.
I don’t understand people applying for jobs. It clearly says shift starts at 730 am, yet I get people applying who can only start at 930 am. In what world does a business change it hours to accommodate a part time worker?
Anyone want a job for two weeks 730 to around 230 palleting ice?
You have to he able to lift 35 lbs over and over.
I think I got ghosted by a honours student I hired. Funny thing all he did was go through training on a computer. I understand why the job might not be for him considering where he lives.
I shake my head, because all he had to say was this isn’t for me.
I think the day will come where employers will be able rank employees. Those who ghost, who agree to an interview but don’t show, those who accept a job but don’t show up can be weeded out. There needs to be a way for good employees to standout because the resume system is broken. We will all pay more for good employees but too often it takes dealing with a few bad ones to find a good one.
Looks like a no rain weekend… we should have a massive party across the city! No rain city party. Everyone buys ice, buys beer and we drink all the Canadian Liquor on the shelf. No city politicians allowed!
Interesting how Trump has changed supply chains. I just got a quote from a Ukrainian company for a product historically we would have purchased from America. These days, if we can find it outside the US supply chain we do so.
