I'm the moon. You see me every night. The same side facing you. Every night. All the time.

The moon is 3.6 years old today according to @themoon app. That gives me a certain sense of security in all of this silence. Solice: whole.

Looking back, landing on the moon wasn’t just our job, it was a historic opportunity to prove to the world America’s can-do spirit. I’m proud to serve the country that gave me this historic opportunity. Today belongs to you. We must hold the memory of #Apollo11 close. #Apollo50th

You know the name Neil Armstrong, but what about Poppy Northcutt or Hazel Fellows? For #Apollo50, learn about the women who played essential roles in building the Apollo program: s.si.edu/2NYb17d #BecauseOfHerStory

50 years ago today, Neil Armstrong, Mike Collins and I launched into space on a mission of enormous importance. God bless the 400,000 Americans who helped us get to the moon and back. Together, we Americans can do anything! Never forget July 16, 1969! #Apollo50

My favorite expression is 'outward bound.' To me it epitomizes the human spirit - to go, to see, to understand. #MondayMotivation #MarsMotivation @60Mins

We’re 26 days away from our #Apollo50th anniversary, when humans walked on another world for the first time in history! As we move forward to send the first woman and the next man to the Moon in five years, take a look back at our historic legacy: go.nasa.gov/2Yc3sue

When we made it to the Moon it was uncharted territory – literally! Our 21-day quarantine was a necessary precaution at the time...we didn’t know if there were any microorganisms on the Moon #spacebugs

On this #FathersDay, I remember Dad visiting me at summer camp during WWII. Dads - I hope you continue to receive kindness from your children. For me, sadly, I hope better days will come.

How sweet! The last full Moon before the June solstice goes by Strawberry, Rose, or Honey Moon. These refer to what you can eat/grow this time of year, not a rosy color. #WinterIsComing in the southern hemisphere so enjoy a Long Night’s or Cold Moon. go.nasa.gov/2ImvI8e

Our cheesy satellite enjoying some rare shade this morning. This shows various phases of the eclipse, both exposed for the sunlit area and the earth's shadow. Full eclipse bottom right and Mars top left. #eclipse #lunareclipse #totallunareclipse #moon #moonphases
