Four years ago I joined @Mysten_Labs as its lawyer, and almost two have gone by as President. Now I'm honored to be serving as CEO. Thank you @EvanWeb3 for your trust. I'm lucky to continue working with you and the founders on bringing Sui and Walrus to even greater heights. Much more to share soon. Let's go!
1/ Sharing the first update in a new quarterly series from @Mysten_Labs – take a look mystenlabs.com/blog/letters-…. In it, I lay out my thoughts on: What problems need to be solved in order for agents to be trusted by humans and to trust each other. Why I’m convinced Sui and Walrus will be fundamental in solving those problems, and why Mysten Labs is the team to tackle them. 2/ We’re also setting up a new, dedicated AI business unit within Mysten Labs, which I will personally lead, in addition to my responsibilities as CTO. At Sui Basecamp, I gave a glimpse of what we’re working on: youtube.com/watch?v=rCWnarkg… 3/ To ensure that the team has full time and bandwidth to dedicate to our agentic strategy as well as supporting the Sui and Walrus ecosystem, I have asked @KevinBoon_ML to step into the CEO role. Kevin has been instrumental in leading Mysten Labs alongside the co-founders from Day 1, first as our Chief Legal Officer and then as our President. I planned for this day when I made him President, and have the utmost faith in him as my successor and our new CEO. Now, back to work.

Small update in devxplorer, you can now see actual values and types of pure inputs in a transaction. IDs and addresses are clickable. ..accidentally found AresRPG transaction on mainnet while searching for a good example. Way to go @Sceat_!

As a music lover, the mixer is by far my favorite feature in @_misofm. There's nothing else like it on the market. I'll share a bit more about the engineering behind this feature next week.

A great engineer is looking for a job! Have an extremely positive experience collaborating and working with Oleg, and we've interacted quite a few times
I’m looking for my next opportunity in the @SuiNetwork ecosystem. Former CTO at TradePort, where I built much of our Sui architecture and smart contracts. If you need help with Move, complex indexing, or taking a product from idea to mainnet, I’d love to connect. DMs open.

For users of devxplorer.io - there's now an ability to add Bookmarks for pages as well as the Live Transactions view alongside checkpoints. Since the experience is tailored for devs, desktop version allows using hotkeys: - `?` cheatsheet - `b` bookmark - `B` see bookmarks - `M` switch to mainnet - `T` switch to testnet - `D` .. devnet

Good overview of EVE Frontier and our decision to pick Sui as the foundations to build it on.
Why did @EVE_Frontier choose Sui? • Ships, items and structures as objects on a public data layer • Player-built systems that plug into the live universe • Sponsored transactions, so gas fees disappear @HilmarVeigar breaks down how it works in the background. 🎮

Inspired by the gmonad site, today I'm releasing World Wide Sui. worldwidesui.wal.app/ I've been building on @SuiNetwork for years and still see ,any people who don't know how sui txs work or what it costs. So I made something that shows it. The whole site lives on @WalrusProtocol. The HTML is a blob on Walrus, served through a .wal.app portal, and the site itself is an object on sui mainnet. Numbers come live from a mainnet fullnode. 125 validators on a globe you can drag, a new checkpoint about every fifth of a second. And roughly 1 in 5 transactions get paid by the network, because storage is a deposit you get back when you free state. I translated the DAG into terms people already know, checkpoints as blocks and checkpoint gap as block time. If anyone has any requests or expanding it, feel free to reach out.

There's many more tiny and not-so-tiny features, and I'm open to feature requests - let me know what's missing and what can make devx even better

This actually happened a while ago, forgot to share. The book got a massive Testing chapter which features most best practices for testing packages, gas profiling, running linters and creating beautiful testing frameworks Give it a read, very likely you didn't know something!
