Why the DJI Flip Is Perfect for Ski Touring ⛷️🚁
The @DJIGlobal Flip has made filming myself in the mountains much easier.
It can track me autonomously while I’m ski touring, it’s light enough to carry all day, and when I’m done I can hand-catch it, fold it up and put it straight back in the pack.
No filming myself, skiing back to collect the camera, and repeating the whole section.

This was one of those ski tour outings where the journey was the reward.
Snow?
Not good (icy up top and crusty lower down).
But the company and views?
Without equal.
I love making images in these types of conditions.
Also, when you are both ski tourer, film guy, bts guy, photographer etc. things can get busy on the calmest of days 🤣🤷🏼♂️.

It’s a delicate balance, making images while ski touring.
On the one hand there’s the focus on keeping moving safely through high alpine terrain in sub zero temperatures.
And on the other hand there’s the need to tell the story the landscape reveals along the way, which requires calculated stops.
Sometimes you get it more right than others.
But that’s why I keep going back 👌🏽🏔️⛷️📷.
