really been getting into ordering pizza by calling the pizza place and then paying cash instead of doordashing or ordering online. makes me feel like a homeowner in a suburb. it feels awesome

I have aphantasia, see nothing with eyes closed, but I can imagine what things look like. My sister was the complete opposite. She said she could run movies in her head, and she can "watch" them and explain what is there in them, like a day at the beach 30 years ago and she knew the color of my shirt. I barely remember that day. I can imagine movies, but I can't explain anything except what I've somehow noticed or chosen to remember.

I swear most people that say they have aphantasia misunderstand what people refer to by "images in their head"

I have aphantasia. The other day I was describing it to my wife and she was like "wdym see images in your head it's just a metaphor you dum dum". Well, this is how she learned she has aphantasia as well. It's been three days and she's interrogating all our friends and extended family and still can't get over the fact that people are able to just close their eyes and see images. She's an artist an a graphic designer btw

Wendy's chili was put on the menu to use up leftover hamburger. Dave Thomas wrote in his 1992 book, Dave's Way, that people often asked why Wendy's had chili on the menu from the start. His answer was "What do you do with the leftover hamburger?" Wendy's built itself on square patties made from fresh beef. Fresh beef can't be parked in a freezer the way a frozen patty can, so a kitchen grilling it all day needs somewhere for the extra to go. In 2022 a Wendy's employee posted videos of older cooked patties being soaked, chopped and bagged for the chili, then posted a Wendy's branded training slide showing the same steps. Wendy's didn't comment at the time. Chili has been on the menu since the first Wendy's opened in 1969.
