Ask yourself one simple question:
Why isn’t this being offered on existing homes?
The UK property market is flat. Instead of addressing the real problems stamp duty, affordability, supply and everything else the government would rather dress it up with another scheme designed to stimulate demand and prop up prices.
This benefits the government and housebuilders far more than it benefits you.
Don’t rush into buying a house simply because a scheme makes it seem easier. You’ll be stuck for a long time and owning a house comes with significant financial pressure beyond the monthly payments.
Save a 10/20% deposit. Buy when YOU are financially ready.
This doesn’t fix the UK property market.
