After a long illness irreverently borne, legendary TRF cartoonist Gordon Reid has sadly died.
Gordon's catalogue was extraordinary in its volume, ingenuity and skill; his work as instantly recognisable as he was himself.
Known by many, loved by most, bettered by none.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Oh aye, there was also that time he publicly undermined the credibility of an independent process by which one of our players was found to have been racially abused on the pitch. Cheeky wee scamp. #winningmentality
Very sincere apologies to all the celtic fans who have contacted us to let us know that it was ok cos Scott Brown was just sticking up for his pal, and who we've not been able to get back to directly. Sadly we've not had enough time to tell you all to fuck off individually.
Far be it from us to be taking the piss of others for getting rumml't oot the cup by a team of part-timers like, but.... Brora Rangers? Jings.

Sad to have to say it, but TRF would be deeply uncomfortable with AFC hiring an individual who acted as a public apologist for an independently accepted act of racism towards one of our players - even were it retracted in hindsight, which to our knowledge it never has been.🧵
TRF's stance on that incident, and the response to it, remains 100% as described in angry length in Issues 115 & 116. Any recruitment process of @AberdeenFC and @CormackDavie which has not involved scrupulous interrogation of this is gravely flawed and does our club disservice.🧵
TRF welcomes apparent consensus in the Scottish football world on the gravity of covert racist remarks being made on the pitch. It is, of course, easier to say in the abstract that you would do the right thing than to put it into practice when the issue visits your own doorstep.

Interim managers will often try something radical and one way or another this looks like the return of a back four. High time. Good luck loons. #COYR

McInally has it spot on... it's not Scotland's job to develop players for celtic and rangers... it is a retrograde step which will only strengthen them, at a time when we need a more level playing field... they already have all the advantages, so why give them more!
A year ago this afternoon we scrapped plans to travel to Fir Park, and haven't been back inside a stadium since. How are you all getting on? What are you missing most? What do you wish you'd been there to see? Talk to us.

As the dust begins to settle, both of these things can be true. On the whole Derek McInnes has been a very good manager of Aberdeen. Things stopped working a while ago and change was needed. All the best Derek min; we move forward. #StandFree
