Hello World, Let's introduce you to #AESCARES The social impact movement of @AfriEliteSeries 👉We believe that where a child is born should never determine how far they can go. 👉We believe opportunity should be universal. 👉We believe communities grow stronger when children are protected, educated, healthy, and empowered. 👉We believe football has the power to inspire, unite, and mobilize action. 👉But our greatest victories will never be measured by trophies. 👉They will be measured by lives changed. 👉By dreams unlocked. 👉By futures transformed. 👉Because beyond every match is a child waiting for opportunity. And that is why WE CARE. AES CARES

I firmly believe that foreign coaches in our domestic leagues should only be those with proven experience in the top two divisions of their own countries. If a coach cannot secure employment at that level back home, why should we entrust them with a role in our top league? In such cases, I would rather give the opportunity to a domestic coach and ensure we create the best possible environment to support his/her growth. Of course, the challenge remains with our own coach education programs, that make this principle difficult to fully implement 🤦🏾‍♂️

In ⚽️ , the most ignored word is “consistency.” Consistency remains the real competitive advantage in football. Across the last 10 years, the clubs & MAs that stay in the top tier share one trait: stable evidence-based daily operations. Teams with consistent decision‑making & training habits qualify 3–5× more often for major tournaments than those relying on “one‑off” peaks. Top clubs & MAs don’t chase moments — they build habits. #HighPerformance

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: 🤔 9/10 African teams advanced — what does the metrics actually say? 9 out of 10 African teams reached the knockouts. Before we celebrate, let’s ask the key question: Is this performance growth or tournament structure? Start with the numbers: Chance creation, xG, defensive efficiency, PPDA, transition success, set‑piece output. Are these trending upward across teams? Look at game control: More sustained possession in key phases? Better pressing triggers? Higher recovery zones? These metrics tell us if teams are dictating matches — not just surviving them. Then compare to previous tournaments: Did African teams improve their average goal difference? Did they concede fewer high‑quality chances? Did they create more big chances per 90? Now the structural angle: Was this group stage statistically less demanding? Were matchups more favorable? Did format changes influence advancement probabilities? Why this matters: How we interpret this achievement shapes how we develop players, educate coaches, and allocate resources. Data drives direction. So — what does the analytics tell you? Growth? Structure? Or a mix of both? #FIFAWorldCup #AfricanExcellence

Do you lead a football club? How clearly are the following defined across your organisation: Vision. Governance. High‑Performance. Capacity‑Building. Strategy. Impact. If these pillars aren’t aligned, communicated, and lived across every department, your club is leaving potential on the table. We can help you re‑define, align, and activate them—so your entire organisation moves with clarity, purpose, and long‑term direction. @thereturnpass is ready when you are.

🌍 Welcome to 2026 — A Year of Football, Hope, and Transformation 2026 begins with a special kind of energy — the sense that something greater is within reach. Together, we can elevate our game to new heights and shape a future where football stands as an even stronger force for unity, opportunity, and human development. We step into this year with purpose: to change lives through football. Football has always been more than 90 minutes. It is education, identity, hope, and a pathway for young people to dream beyond their circumstances. In 2026, we will deepen our commitment to building the game at every level: • Empowering coaches and educators • Strengthening clubs and academies • Expanding opportunities for boys and girls • Creating environments where talent, character, and community grow together The journey ahead is exciting. The responsibility is immense. But our shared belief — in the power of football to transform lives — is even greater. Our passion fuels our mission. Here’s to a year of progress, unity, and unforgettable football moments. Here’s to 2026 — a year to dream boldly, work collectively, and change lives through the beautiful game. ⚽✨
