Working with @joseforatx to host a Know Your Rights session for our community. Details coming soon.
The Supreme Court has allowed #SB4 to temporarily be enforced in Texas.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: Remember the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments:
4th: Refuse a search and refuse to identify yourself unless you are the driver.
5th: Stay silent.
6th: Ask for an attorney.

We are endorsing a NO vote on Prop 7 and a YES vote on Prop 14. Prop 6 is the one that we have not taken an official position on but did publish a blog on because we wanted folks to be informed: sierraclub.org/texas/blog/20…
(Our blogs on Prop 7 & 14 are here: sierraclub.org/texas/news)
In my new role at @TexasSierraClub I’m learning so much about energy in Texas & the way polluting energy producers are trying to rig the system in their favor. Voting NO on Prop 7 is one way we can fight back!
There's a HUGE handout of YOUR MONEY on the ballot for fossil fuel polluters - with renewables left OUT. @TheTexBex joined us to discuss Prop 7.

Nearly 1 MILLION Texans have lost Medicaid in the past few months—most of them are children.
Now they’re kicking off significant numbers of pregnant women, preventing them from receiving the healthcare they need.
So much for family values…
This survey is open until midnight, take a minute to respond, Austin!

A life of public service is demanding and relentless. We applaud Austin City Councilmember @NatashaD1atx, who gives so much of herself to the community, for taking some time to meet her own needs.

Every Texan facing higher energy bills this summer should be outraged that crypto companies are making twice as much money from @ERCOT_ISO than they are from their *actual product*.
This is grotesque. A bill by @LoisKolkhorst would’ve cut off such payments to bitcoin. cnbc.com/2023/09/06/texas-pa…
