If you measure a society by how it treats children, the vulnerable, and the underserved — Greg Abbott’s Texas is a colossal failure.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Together, we will reject MAGA extremism and build a Texas as good as its promise.

Today was the day! Wife and I finally made it in with all 3 of our kids and voted for @jamestalarico, @GinaHinojosaTX, @VikkiGoodwinTX, @jefts4cedarpark, Chris Jimenez and so many more @texasdemocrats and @wilcodems!!!
I’m ready to see my county and my state flip blue!!!

Thank you for actually campaigning in Texas and getting the vote out!!!!!
Loved being in southern Dallas with so many friends supporting @GinaHinojosaTX! Dallas County is essential to a statewide win, and we have some serious margins to run up.
Let’s give Gina the votes and Greg Abbott a moving date.
I joined my good friend @jamestalarico to share why he’s the fighter we need in the Senate for our kids and for the future of Texas.
Barbara Jordan called for an America “as good as its promise.” I know James will fight to make that promise a reality.
Get out and vote!

We’re visiting college campuses across Texas on our Clear Eyes Full Hearts Tour.
Tonight, it was so great to be back at my alma mater.
Hook ‘em Horns!
I’ve known @tamara_talarico and Mark for 10 years and he @jamestalarico has no bigger supporters than his parents! Let’s get this done.
Why is @KenPaxtonTX such a coward!

I spoke with Rep. James Talarico earlier today in Dallas. I ask him about:
-getting the flu
-the claim he was getting treatment for a stress-induced episode
-a debate update
More tonight at 5 and 10 pm.
This is a lie designed to promote a pathetic conspiracy theory. Last week James Talarico was home in Austin, Texas recovering from the flu.
🚨 BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Ohio mental hospital CONFIRMS James Talarico was discharged from the facility earlier this week
The “flu” thing was a BIG FAT LIE
Following reporting by @SaraGonzalesTX and @CarolineWren, a hospital employee told @RheinAmacher and I that Talarico had in fact been a patient at the Lindner Center of Hope near Cincinnati, Ohio, which specializes in around-the-clock mental health treatment.
While I sympathize with those dealing with mental health crises, this man is CLEARLY not suited to become a US Senator representing over 30 MILLION TEXANS.
The job doesn’t get easier after being elected — it only gets MORE stressful.
And Talarico clearly can’t handle it.
I pray he gets the help he needs, but Texans need a real representative they can rely on.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Lindner Healing Center has refuted this
They have made a statement that James Talarico has never received treatment at Lindner Healing Center x.com/lindnerctrhope…

I challenged Ken Paxton to a debate 85 days ago, but no one has heard from him.
People are getting worried.
I’ve received credible reports he's suffering from a rare condition that causes clinical levels of cowardice.
@KenPaxtonTX: I am asking for proof of ability to debate.

NEW @TexasTribune: Ken Paxton privately suggested he'd support cutting federal benefit programs, per new leaked audio.
Asked about reducing the deficit, he said: “Making some reasonable cuts to mandatory spending - you're gonna have to do it."
"We have to suck it up."
The state failed to properly transmit voter registrations to counties. Now counties are left to clean up the mess weeks before Election Day.
We need answers, accountability, and the resources to process every application.
Your right to vote is too important for anything less.

President Trump just said Ken Paxton should debate.
I agree.
Ball’s in your court @KenPaxtonTX.

He canceled an event because he had the flu. You won’t debate him because you’re a chickenshit.
I can think of few things more insulting to Texas voters than demanding their vote while refusing to stand on a stage and defend yourself against your opponent.

I expected the questions that followed to be related to the committee’s charge. Almost none of them were. Members should take up the DA’s office on the offer to meet w/them. I’ve done it many times. You don’t get a social media post out of it, but you do get answers. #txlege
A rep from DA Garza’s office is speaking now. They’re reading written testimony that was submitted beforehand, but expect questions to follow… #txlege

I’m in. @mayes_middleton ?
Covering the Texas Legislature for a living, I've seen @mayes_middleton & @NathanForTexas debate many times. Now they're both running for AG and you should get to see them debate, too. Happy to moderate. I've reached out to both campaigns for their consideration. Let's do this.
Congratulations to Crystal Mason, and well done to her legal team!
It never should have gotten this far. The legislature and the courts have been clear — no one should be punished for an honest mistake.
This is unacceptable.
Texans did everything right. They registered to vote through DPS. But their applications weren’t processed properly.
Abbott must give counties the resources to fix this mess. We deserve answers about how this happened and why it wasn’t caught sooner.
New: Unknown number of Texas voter registration applications were unprocessed due to DPS error. Via @VotebeatUS bit.ly/4ycLJ79
