Jay-Z said something in his GQ Interview that stood out……he talked about editing your life. He said some people are for life and some are for a moment and "these ideas of loyalty will hold you in places that you don't belong.”
It’s time to move on!

Yall gotta put more respect on “The Famous Jett Jackson”. That show opened so many doors on Disney channel and ran so many of your faves on Disney could fly.

Right about now, MTV’s Spring Break and BET’s Spring Bling would be happening. The kids don’t understand the quality entertainment those two channels once provided us.

While we give BLAQUE their flowers, let’s also highlight their influence on K-Pop.
Thanks to Left Eye’s vision, BLAQUE became the blueprint for K-Pop culture from choreography to fashion to overall direction.
K-Pop girl groups wouldn’t be a damn thing without the vision of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and the talent of BLAQUE: Brandi, Shamari, Natina 🕊️.
Also: Shamari’s husband Ronnie is also a major reason K-Pop is what it is today as K-Pop boy band culture borrows directly from the Brooke Payne - New Edition blueprint.
Every. Single. Thing. You. See. Is BLACK CULTURE is some way, shape, or form.
Happy Black History!

The world wasn’t ready for Electrik Red. I hate that we’ll never know what their evolution would’ve been like.

And THIS is why crediting every single person in the room for your music IS important no matter what. Never let a swiftie convince you otherwise
Raphael Saadiq reveals that he ended up writing for the Sinners soundtrack because Ryan Coogler went to a Beyoncé concert and heard "Cuff It".
"Ryan Coogler went to Beyoncé’s concert, and he heard one of her songs that I worked on, and he was like, “Who did that? ” He heard “Cuff It,” and then he went and read who did “Cuff It.” He’s like, “We got to call Raphael for ‘Sinners.'” And then Ludwig reached out through a friend of mine, Dominique Dunn, a young lady who worked for a friend of mine, No ID. And she worked in the same building as me in my studio. And she was like, “Ludwig Göransson is looking for you.” And I’ve known Ludwig, but I don’t know how it came through, but she told me. And after that, I went and met with him that day, and then I spoke to him and Ryan. And Luwig kind of pitched it to me, the whole story of ‘Sinners,’ the script as good as he could. And then we got on a FaceTime with Ryan, and then Ryan pitched it to me, and then it was clear what we needed to do from that point."

Black children around the world were watching Speed connect and show the beauty and intrigue of places that people tell them are dirty, disgusting and unworthy.
Representation like this is so important for kids to imagine themselves beyond the walls of whiteness.
