Wow it’s been a busy few days… 38 hoglets onsite and 35 adults 😮 That’s a lot of mouths to feed and care for! Thankfully after a lot of patience in the last couple of days lots of the hoglets have mastered self feeding 🙌🦔🐾

4 years ago today beavers were released at Woodland Valley. Since then have built 8 dams , turned 1 stream into 4, cut peak flow by half, produced habitat galore, seen trout increase in size 8 fold, hosted 8 new birds and a whole bunch of other stuff. Get on with it @DefraGovUK

It has been a scorching day here in Cornwall ☀️ Please leave a shallow dish of water out for wildlife, our little pond is being used nightly by visiting hedgehogs. If you do have a pond please make sure one side is shallow or there is a ramp for them to easily get out 💦 🦔🐾

Far from being #wildlife deserts, lawns can be colourful tapestries of flowers supporting pollinators and attracting all sorts of other wildlife.

The @WoodlandTrust's #StateofWoodsandTrees report is here, and it’s a clear warning sign. Only 7% of our native woods are in good ecological condition.... We need urgent action now for our woodlands and wildlife. 🌳⚠️

The Government talk about ending the badger cull but it's not over yet - new licenses can still be issued until 2022 which means that badgers can continue to be killed until 2026 . These are 'protected' animals . . .
