In addition, McGarveys Bar is selling raffle tickets for the Tiny Beautiful Things outdoor furniture set pieces. Two chairs, one sofa, one table, and one fire ring. Proceeds will go to Family Services Incorporated. Please see cast members to buy raffle tickets as well.
Based on the best-selling book by Cheryl Strayed, Tiny Beautiful Things follows the relationships between an anonymous advice columnist named Sugar and the many real-life readers who pour out their hearts to her. Mark your calendars for December 16th-19th. bit.ly/3rPiszY
Update: due to covid-19 cases rising in our area and other circumstances, we are postponing our October shows until next season. We will be back in December! Stay tuned.
Call for director. Things Unseen is planning to present two one-act plays by local playwright F.J. Hartland in October.
In “Cemetery” two men in their 20s, Sam and Elliot, are visiting the grave of Elliot’s mother and are discussing Elliot’s feelings of guilt about her death when they see a woman who strongly resembles the mother.
The plays are “Funeral in the Rain” and “Cemetery Plot” – funny and heartwarming as many of F.J.’s plays are. “Funeral” portrays 11 characters, played by one man & one woman, discussing the deceased Esther Cavanaugh at her funeral, each with a different perspective and memory.
Check out Relative Strangers and 2 Across July 30th thru August 1st!
