According to World Bank's latest report, India's extreme poverty has fallen from 27.6% to just under 2.6%. And for Indians living under Rs. 400 a day (lower middle income), it has come down from 57.7% of the population to 16.1%. Remarkable achievement by India given the rupee depreciated and the inflationary pressure of a fast growing economy.

Photographer Hadlee Renjith captured the rare Melanobatrachus, also known as the Galaxy Frog, deep in the forests of Munnar, Kerala. Its skin is dotted with tiny blue speckles that look like stars across a night sky. (Via @hadlee_renjith)

UGC guidelines are actually unconstitutional, but how would a Columbian university kid know ? Take care and don’t cry into that pillow much.

Mithila exists between Himalayan foothills in the North,Mahananda river in the east,Gandak river in the west and Ganga river in the south...Every native language spoken here is either Maithili or a dialetic of Maithili.

I think Kissinger got it perfectly in this post.
Noticed one thing all the development, infra, indigenous technology related pages are run by Nationalist and RW only. Leftist whole day keep singing one song of oppression, depression and suppression.

Not even a single leftist account talks about Defense Procurement. The only people who talk about it are right wing folks who are super critical of the current state.

I am genuinely stunned that hardly anyone has shown any intent to protest against the flawed reservation system or even raise their voice against it. Unfortunately, there’s no funding for such causes. I am all for reservation based on financial need, to help people uplift themselves. But reservation for people living in bungalows? 🤦🏼‍♂️

This is not USA. There was no need for universal suffrage protests in independent India. Child marriage was unanimously opposed in independent India (just last week California passed a law banning child marriage. It is still legal in 32 states of the US). There was always unanimous political consensus on girl ed in independent India. When you try to copy all talking points from other countries you quickly become irrelevant in this one.
If nobody had protested, girls might still be married at 12 or 13, denied education, kept out of workplaces and scientific fields. It took thousands of protests to reach a point where some people can afford to believe protest is no longer necessary.
