My students at The SPACE & I support Kennedy House Youth Shelter each year in the #ColdestNightOfTheYear walk. I’m in Halifax but I’m still supporting them & you can too! Visit cnoy.w-ith.me/TheSPACE to donate. Any donation amount helps support @KennedyHouseYou. Thanks! #CNOY25

Saw the #AfricvilleMuseum today. It’s in a replica of Seaview Church - razed in the dead of night as the govt destroyed the community & displaced its families. It’s heartbreaking & infuriating & a story of resilience & reclamation. #BlackLivesMatter #BlackHistoryIsCanadianHistory

#LifeLessonsAtTheDoughnutShop 🧵Walking along Gottingen St today, I stopped for a treat at Vandal Doughnuts. There was one last Skor doughnut that immediately caught my eye, but they all looked so good that I took a moment to look at the rest of the display case. 1/6

Well, the woman behind the counter kind of gave me a funny look, and walked over to the Skor doughnut and put it in a bag for me. I told her I was going to leave it, but she was quite firm, saying “You should get what you want.” 5/6

I feel there’s a lesson there about speaking up or being assertive, but it could also be first come, first served; he who hesitates is lost; or when someone insists you take the last Skor doughnut, say thank you, pay up, & be on your way before everyone else realizes it’s gone!

Closing night for #MurderAtTheSnowballBall at Globus Theatre! It’s been so much fun doing this show. One last sold out performance in Winterton tonight, then one last night to see the constellations reveal themselves one star at a time… #ItWasInBobcaygeon @GlobusattheLAB
